Three Christmas Card ideas using Stampin' Up! Sweet Little Stockings Bundle

Today I want to highlight the Sweet Stockings Suite from the July-December 2021 Mini catalog.  The suite includes the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set and coordinating Stockings Dies, plus the playful Sweet Stockings 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper, and Matte Decorative Dots.  The cards I'm showing you today were all swaps I received from other Demonstrators, and I couldn't have been more impressed by the wonderful work by these individuals.   And don't forget, until 30 September, for each $50 or $100 order you place (less tax and shipping), you'll earn FREE Sale-A-Bration selections.

This first card was created by Tammy DeWitt  She used Pool Party Cardstock with the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper, and stamped two of the sentiments from the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set in Old Olive Ink at the top and bottom of the card.  The little pup was colored with Crumb Cate with a Cherry Cobbler hat.  the stocking stripes are Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive.  She added three Matt Decorative Dots to complete this sweet card.  

This next card (below) is from Ann Quattrin.  She used a Thick Basic White basecard, and added layers of Cherry Cobbler and Bumblebee.  She added accents of different prints from the Sweet Stockings12 X 12 Designer Series Paper.  Then she colored her pup with a Soft Suede Blends Marker, and added a Cherry Cobbler Hat.  The stocking is striped with Cherry Cobbler.  For accents, she added stars die cut from the Brushed Metallic 12 X 2 Cardstock and added a Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2" Ribbon to the top.  The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento, and the sentiment is from the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set.  

This third card (below), created by Mary Hoover, used a completely different set of element from the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set.  She used three gift packaging images as the focal point for her card.  Her basecard  is Cherry Cobbler, and then she used two different prints from the Sweet stockings 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper to create her image layer.  She stamped the packages in Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive and mounted them on Old Olive shapes.  The Christmas Greetings sentiment is stamped in Old Olive on Basic White, and matted with a rectangle of Old Olive.  To add bling to the card, she included a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Gold Old Olive 1/2 Ribbon.  Another great idea for using the Sweet Stockings Suite.   

To extend the possibilities of this set, you'll have fun cutting images from the Designer series Paper to create even more possible scenes for your cards, like I did for this card I posted previously.

Christmas Card fun using Stampin' Up! Penguin Place Bundle

I can't stop playing with this cute Penguin Place Stamp Set!  I have to confess.  Penguin Place was NOT on my July-December 2021 Mini Catalog shopping list.   Even when the mini catalog launched on 3 August 2021, I still wasn't interested.  And then I started seeing the samples posted on social media by other Demonstrators. Sooo cute!  So I broke down and ordered it -- and now I don't want to put it away.  Of course I also had to order the Penguin Playmates 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper as one of my free Sale-a-Bration Selections with my order, and I used one of the prints from this paper pack on today's card.  I also used the coordinating Penguin Builder Punch to create my penguin figure, and I added die cuts from three different sets of dies to complete my card.  I love how Stampin' Up! products work so well together.  It makes the investment very worth while. The basecard for this card is Fresh Freesia Cardstock.  Then a layer of one of the prints from the Penguin Playmates 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper.  Time image layer for the sentiment includes a scalloped layer of Fresh Freesia and a stitched rectangle of Basic White Cardstock.    

I used one of the dies from the Christmas Pinecone Dies to create the pine sprigs behind the sentiment layer.  The dies used to create the sentiment layer were from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and one of the die cuts from the Rectangle Stitched dies fit perfectly inside the Stitched So Sweetly Die Cut.  TIP:  When creating the pine tree sprigs, I backed my Fresh Freesia Cardstock with Adhesive Sheets, and ran it through my Cut & Emboss Machine Twice to ensure it cut through both layers.  It was much easier sticking the large die cut to the Designer Series Paper Layer than using Liquid glue on this delicate die cut.

I stamped one of the penguins from the Penguin Place Stamp Set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Basic White Cardstock, and punched it out using the Penguin Builder Punch.  I stamped the Penguin's beak in Mango Melody ink.  Then I used the Penguin Builder Punch to punch Penguin feet out of Fresh Freesia Cardstock and glued them to the Penguin body.  

 

I stamped four packages from the Penguin Place Stamp set onto Fresh Freesia Cardstock using Fresh Freesia Ink, and fussy cut them, and then added them to my card.  To add a little bling, I added three Fresh Freesia rhinestones from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels pack.  This card was so much fun that I made 6 of them before I put all my tools away.  I often find it easier to create multiples of cards at one time when my papers, stamps and tolls are out rather than pulling everything out a second time.
