Easter card using Basket Builder Framelits

This is my CASE of a card from Mary Fish, one of Stampin' Up!s most accomplished demonstrators.  I made some changes to the sentiment, DSP, and turned it from a general purpose card into an Easter card.

I used Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Cucumber Crush Stampin' Write Markers to color the flowers, stem and egg images. I'm going to try a version colored with colored pencils to see if I can get the colors to pop brighter.   The Basket Builder Framelit Dies cuts the basket, flowers, eggs and has 22 images.  Purchasing the stamp set and die set together will save you 10%.

To efficiently create all the small images on this card, I positioned all of the flowers, stems, leaves and egg on one clear block and stamped them on Whisper White four times.   Before die cutting the images, I colored all of the images.  Keeping these small images together as long as possible in the creation process, helped any from becoming lost.  I also recommend stamping an extra set so that if any become unusable while coloring them, you won't have to re stamp just one tiny item.

The other tip I have for quickly adding all of the flower images to the basket, was that I glued all of the stems and flowers to an oval shape and then added all of the images attached to the oval as one element to the basket.  I attached the Real Red Stitched ribbon with Tear Tap to ensure it stayed in place.

Join our Easter-Spring class this week end

We're making Easter-holiday projects this week end.  You're invited to join us to make eight different Easter or Spring cards and treat packages and a ninth project that was a special request.  Take a look below at the projects we'll make.

We'll make two treat holders.  Take a closer look at them below.  We'll color and decorate the Stampin' Up! mini egg carton, and we'll make the chocolate egg holder using the Basket Builder Framelits.  The Easter sentiment is from the Suite Sentiments stamp set.

The image on the inside lid of the mini egg carton is from the Timeless Tags Thinlit Die.  We'll use alcohol and the reinkers in the Stampin' Spritzer to color the mini egg cartons...a really fast, easy process.

If you're interested in attending this class.  Please sign up on my Meetup site.  While signing up for the class, check out the special ninth project only listed on my Meetup Site.

For a closer look at these projects, check out my Instagram video. New stampers, experienced stampers and other Stampin' Up! demonstrators are always welcome.
