Stampin' Up! Dashing Deer
My Holiday catalog pre order arrive Thursday evening,while I was at a technique class at CKC Scrapbooking convention. Dashed home, unpacked my new goodies, and quickly put together this card totally CASING a card from Linda Dalke from Australia. At about 10:30 PM I decided to make enough materials for a Shoe Box Swap as Chad Williams from the Stampin' Up Home office was meeting with several of us Houston Stampin' Up! Demonstrators at 9 AM Friday morning. Needless to say, it was a short night. Next day, we had a really great time, and you'll see other swaps we made later in this post.
I was so excited to get the Stampin' Up! Dashing Deer set and the coordinating Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies. The forest behind our home for 20+ years has been filled with deer friends who have provided us many hours of pleasure watching them through the years. This year mama deers have had two sets of twins and a single baby, one of the most prolific baby deer seasons in several years. I'm going to be creating several cards with this wonderful set this year as a tribute to our woodland friends!
Directions for today's card:
- Crumb Cake basecard
- Next layer is Night of Navy.
- Then a layer of Pear Pizzazz that has been dry embossed with the Tufted Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.
- Then using dies from the Stitched Seasons Framelits, cut a shaped background of Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.
- Die cut the leaping deer using the Detailed Deer Thinlits Die from Gold Glimmer paper.
- The deer is popped up on dimensionals and added to the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.
- Back a piece of Gold Foil Sheet with Multipurpose adhesive Sheets.
- Use the Stitched Seasons Framelits to die cut leaves and design elements out of the Gold Foil Sheets
- Remove the adhesive backing and tuck leaves and stems die cuts Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper Layer before adhering
- Stamp sentiment from the Blended Seasons stamp set in Old Olive onto 5/8" wide Whisper White cardstock
- Notch the edges of the sentiment layer

Can't wait for registration to open on August 14.
