Stampin' Up! Making Christmas Bright Stamp set

We'll, today I originally planned to use a new fall stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog, but as I pulled the cardstock and stamp set to make the card, my hand hovered over the Making Christmas Bright set and I remembered a recent card I had seen using this set. And I ended up making my version of the card.  .  . best laid plans and all.

I used the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series paper along with Cherry Cobbler for the background on this card.  You'll love the prints in this Designer Series Paper package.

Directions for today's card:
  • Cherry Cobbler basecard
  • Next layer is the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.
  • Then there are two Shaded Spruce detailed pieces cut with the Petals & More Thinlits. I forgot to back them with Multipurpose Sheets, so used my Silicon Sheet and covered a piece of sponge with Multipurpose glue and dabbed glue onto the two detailed Shaded Spruce pieces.
  • Then there is a banner of Gold Foil Sheets
  • The image layer begins with a Pearlized Doilies
  • Then a layer of Vellum Cardstock stamped with the strands in Cherry Cobbler and punched with the 2-1/2" circle punch
  • Then another label-shaped element in Shaded Spruce cut with a another die from the Petals & More Thinlits.  A Gold Metallic pear is attached to each end of the label

  • The sentiment is stamped on a Whisper White circle punched with a 1-3/4" circle punch
  • The sentiment is from the Making Christmas Bright stamp set.  The top part of the sentiment is stamped i Shaded Spruce and the bottom word is stamped in Cherry Cobbler
