Sneak Peek of Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set

I'm working through the new stamp sets I received on my demonstrator pre-order from the upcoming annual catalog -- a benefit of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator -- and choose the new Good Morning Magnolia Stamp to highlight today as a sneak peek of upcoming new products. You're going to find so many uses for this set and suite of coordinating products.  Its a great example of work Stampin' Up! has already done for you by giving you not only stamps, dies and designer series papers that work together but also Memories and More cards and matching envelopes for both Scrapbooking or Cardmaking, coordinating ribbons, cork embellishments and two new Blends Markers colors--Light and Dark So Saffron--for coloring your Magnolia images.

I used watercolor pencils to color my Magnolia images.  And the new catalog has  a new watercolor pencil assortment, in addition to our existing watercolor pencil set...a bit of a spoiler alert.  The new water color assortment, the new So Saffron Blends and the Good Morning Magnolia suite is another new Suite of products you might as well add to your shopping list, now, because as soon as you start seeing more samples of this set, you WILL want it.  Getting it right away when the new catalog ordering begins on June 4, means you'll have a full Stampin' Up! calendar year to use and enjoy this set, and its likely to be one of the popular sets that will carry over into future new calendar years.  But for now, you'll have to settle for my sneak peek of this set from the upcoming catalog.

Good Morning Magnolia Image colored with watercolor pencils

The basecard for today's card is Blushing Bride.  Then a layer of Night of Navy.  Then another layer of Blushing Bride, which is the base for the stamped image.

The flower is stamped in Night of Navy, as is the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp set.  I removed the Night of Navy layer and stamped the Magnolia image on both piece of Blushing Bride simultaneously.  Then I added the Night of Navy layer between the two Blushing Bride layers.

I used colored pencils from a new assortment of Watercolor pencils that are included in the new catalog.  Its called Watercolor Pencils #2, which will give us even more colors to use with our Watercolor Pencils Assortment #1, which carried over to the new catalog  I used a White, from the Watercolor Pencils #1 set, and Garden Green and Flirty Flamingo pencils from the  Assortment #2 set.  I'll say a little bit more about this new Watercolor pencils assortment and why I have them already, below.

The sequin accents on this card are four different colors from the Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins, which carried over from the current catalog.

Watercolor Pencils Assortment #2 (149014), is a new item in the upcoming
Annual Catalog.  But you might already have them.

Does the Watercolor Pencils Assortment #2 look familiar to you?  It should.  It was a promotional item that Stampin' Up! provided in the not too distant past.  When I saw the new catalog, I raced to my retired stash, pulled out these watercolor pencils and grinned from ear-to-ear that not only had I hung on to my original set, but I actually had two sets.  Plus, I had given away more of these Watercolor Pencil Assortments sets to my downline one year.  So dash to your old stash, dig around.  And you just might find that you already have the Watercolor Pencils Assortment #2 set.  (See, Dear Husband?  Its not clutter.  I told you I'd use it...someday!
