Pressed Petals with Daisies

Today's card was made with one of the pre-designed card fronts that are part of the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper Package.  Add a Daisy.  Add a sentiment.  And you're Done!! I used vellum cardstock mixed with Whisper White cardstock to make this large Daisy for my card front.  There is a story behind this beautiful paper package, and the entire Pressed Petal Suite by Stampin' Up!.  Its a suite filled with love and gratitude,  so be sure to watch the videos below.

Card Idea using Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper

I used a basecard of Mossy Meadow.  Then a layer of Crushed Curry cardstock.  Then I cut one of the pre-designed card fronts from one of the sheets in this paper pack and layered a Daisy of three layers in the center of it.  I used the Daisy punch to punch out two vellum cardstock daisies and one whisper White cardstock Daisies.  Then I added a Perennial Essence Floral Center to my Daisy and popped it up on Dimensionals before adding it to the card.

The sentiment for this card is from the Tasteful Textures Stamp Set and it is stamped in Soft Suede on Vellum Cardstock. The sentiment layer includes two Designer Elements, which I think really completes this card.

Once I started playing with the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Papers, I was amazed that it hadn't been at the top of my Shopping List when the annual catalog launched in June. I fell in love with these papers because they are lighter weight than our normal Designer Series Papers, and layer beautifully.  But the best part is that this paper pack give you twice as much paper as our normal 12 X 12" Designer Series Papers.  Instead of two of each design in our paper packs, you get 4 of each design in Pressed Petals. Instead of our normal 12 sheets of two sided papers, you get 24 sheets of two-sided papers!  This is such a hidden value!  Plus, look at some of the wonderful cards I've created so far with this beautiful paper.  It works so well with other stamp sets and elements in our product line, that coordinating a quick card couldn't be easier.

that we'll be making in our next card class (see details below).

Take a look at all the papers in the  Pressed Petal Specialty Designer Series Paper Package in this video. Real flowers were laid out to create these beautiful flower prints.  The back side of each flower print are highly usable patterns that  coordinate with the flower fronts.
