What do you do with your left over "extras" while you're creating cards?

  • Paper Pumpkin Lovely Day Stamp Set
  • You could substitute So Much Love for Lovely Day Stamp Set
  • January-June 2021 Mini Catalog and SAB are on the way
I decided to use up some of the "extras" that have accumulated on my work tables over the past several months, as the little baggies and big bags of labels and die cuts were beginning to encroach on my work area. I found two lovely flowers and I thought they were from the So Much Love Stamp Set, so I quickly pulled together todays cards...only to find out that the images weren't So Much Love, but were from the Paper Pumpkin Lovely Day Stamp Set from the February 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I had forgotten how much I loved the floral image from this stamp set.  I paired it with Rich Razzelberry and Rococo Rose and a piece of Vellum Cardstock.  Then I found a couple different sentiments on Stitched Rectangles Die Cut and Ornate Boarders Die Cut and I was done.  I love pulling together quick cards...and I used some of the extra pieces that were cluttering my work space.  Makes me sooo happy.

The cards have different orientations, but use the same color combinations, and stamps.   The basecard is Rich Razzelberry.  Then a layer of Vellum Cardstock die cut with the rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Then a smaller Rococo Rose layer also die cut with one of the smaller rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

The floral image is from the February 2020 Paper Pumpkin Lovely Day Stamp Set.  However, you can easily substitute a floral image from the So Much Love Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog.  I used Light Rich Razzelberry Stampin' Blends and Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color the floral image. The image is so easy to color with shading, giving your image a more professional look.

I added sentiments on different die cuts.  One uses a Stitched Rectangle Die Cut and the other used a die cut from the Ornate Borders Dies and the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set.  A Rhinestone Gem is included on each sentiment.  I stamped the inside of the card and the envelopes with one of the images from the Four Seasons Floral Stamp Set.

My tip for today is to save your extra die cuts, sentiments, and image.  When in need of a quick card, grab your "extras" and you'll find you can create cards quickly with less effort than creating a card from scratch.
