Read more below.

Today's card is one I made for a recent card swap with other Demonstrators.  It uses the Hand-Penned-Petal Stamp Set and coordinating Hand Penned 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper.  We heard from Stampin' Up! that this was one of most popular sets in the Stampin' Up! catalog!  I can see why.  The prints in the Hand Penned-Petals Designer Series Paper package work with the new In Colors Cardstock and Ink pads, plus  several of the new accessories such as the Essential Twine packed and the Genial Gems.  The new Annual Catalog is packed with so many new, fun items, yet getting started with a product Suite such as the the Hand Penned Suite of Stamp Set, Dies, Designer Series Paper and gems along with an assortment pack of In Color Cardstock and the In Color Ink bundle is the perfect way to update your Stampin' Up! collection with fully coordinating products.

Handmade floral Thank You Card using Hand-Penned etals Stamp Set

The basecard for this card is Pale Papaya Cardstock, one of the new In Colors for 2021-2023.  Then a Garden Green layer.  Next, I selected a print from the Hand-Penned 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper Pack.

The image layer was created with the Hippo & Friends Dies, with a base layer of garden Green, then a layer of Pale Papaya, and then a layer of Basic White.  If you don't have this die set, you'll find several other layering die in the catalog or you may have retired dies from other catalogs that will work just as well.  I love playing with both current and some of my retired favorite when I create.

Thank You card using Stampin' Up! Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set

I created the stamped image by inking up just a portion of one of the larger florals from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set with Tuxedo Black ink and stamped it on the corner of the label.  Then I used additional images in the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set to color the images.  I stamped off once before stamping the color onto the stamped images, as I attempted to recreate the color from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper used on the card.  I think it came out pretty close.  And I loved that I could used just my stamp pads to create the colored images rather than also needing Markers or Blends in addition to ink pads.  That's one of the reasons I believe this stamp set and product suite has been so popular.  You can do so much with just the basics.  The sentiment is also from the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set, and it is stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.

Cards using the Stampin' Up! Hand-Penned Suite

I also used the Genial Gems to add a little bling to my cards.  And I created a bow using the White Baker's Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.  This is an easy, fun card you can make in quantity to have on hand for Birthdays, Thank-You, and Thinking of You.  If you use social media, you'll find an enormous number of card ideas already posted using this Stampin' Up! suite, as Demonstrators were able to order items from the new catalog a month in advance, which means Demonstrators liked this popular set as much as customers.

Hand-made Get Well Card for a friend using Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set

Stampin' Tip:  Use what you have.  Stampin' Up! carries a number of layering dies you can use to create this card, in addition to two different layering sets of dies in the Hippo & Friends set.  The current Annual Catalog Stitched Rectangle Dies and the Tailor Made Tags Dies would also work for this card.  Look through your retired dies as well.  Above, I used the retired Stitched Nested Labels Dies to create a similar Get Well card to the Thank You cards above.  While it is fun to use the most current products to make cards, sometimes you can find something similar in your existing crafting supplies, and use the money you save to purchase something else you don't yet have.  I love finding ways to extend my stampin' supplies without breaking the bank with all-new items when a new catalog arrives.  Find more ways to save with this month's specials.  See below. Order from my Stampin' Up! shopping site  24 X 7.
