Striking floral greeting card using Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Garden Dies

  • Seasonal Sale 14-16 November with up to 20% off on ribbons, inks and papers
  • Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Garden Dies

See more below on the Seasonal Sale from the Annual Catalog that runs 14-16 November 2023.

Today I'm highlighting dies.  I'm using the Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Garden Dies, which includes two separate full card front size dies, and the Radiating Stitched Dies.  Additionally, I'm using the Crosshatch Design 3D Embossing Folder from the  Basics 3D Embossing Folder 3-pack, an Online Exclusive available directly from the Stampin' Up! website.  My color theme for today's card is Copper Clay, Petal Pink and Basic White.  I die cut the floral pattern from Gorgeous Garden Dies in Basic White, added it to a Copper Clay background.  I dry embossed a Petal Pink basecard using the Crosshatch 3D Embossing Folder, and added the die cut elements on top of the basecard.  I stamped a sentiment from the Go To Greetings Stamp Set in Copper Clay ink on a piece of Petal Pink Cardstock, and added it over a Petal Pink 1/4" Ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack. I'm impressed with the striking results from this Gorgeous Garden Dies and I'm mad at myself for not discovering it before now.

The basecard for the card above is Petal Pink Cardstock dry embossed using the Crosshatch 3D Embossing Folder from the Basic 3D Embossing Folder 3-pack, an Online Exclusive.  Then I die cut a Copper Clay frame using the largest size Radiating Stitched Dies.  This die creates a solid layer with Radiating edges, so I used a retired Stitched Rectangles Die to cut out the center of this piece to create my frame.  Then, I used the Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Garden Dies and die cut the florals from Basic White Cardstock.  I trimmed the Gorgeous Garden Die cut to showcase the florals I wanted to highlight and glued the edges to the Copper Clay frame.  Then I added a Copper Clay Cardstock matte under the Basic White floral die cut. Then I mounted the framed florals onto the Petal Pink Basecard.

Next, I used a scrap piece of Petal Pink Cardstock for my sentiment label.  I stamped a sentiment from the Go To Greetings Stamp Set using Copper Clay ink.

Finally, I layered the sentiment over a piece of Petal Pink 1/4" Ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack.  Then I added a Copper Clay Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dot to the sentiment for a little bling.

New Online Exclusives coming to the Stampin' Up! store 7 November 2023

Why does Stampin' Up! offer Online Exclusives?  Many reason, but one of the most important for me is that these products have an open-ended sales period. This means that unlike catalog merchandise that retires at the end of each catalog Online Exclusives have a longer exposure.  Also, Online Exclusives can react quickly to provide more niche products or relevant trends.  This allows Stampin' Up! to have something for everyone.

This also means that Online Exclusives will be released throughout the year rather than just with the three yearly catalogs or mini catalog.
