Introducing the Stampin' Up! Peony Garden Suite

Stampin' Up! Prized Peony Stamp Set

I've been waiting to play with the new Peony Garden Suite from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog, and today I finally had time.  I used the Prized Peony Stamp Set and the Peony Dies from the suite along with the coordinating Peony Garden Designer Series Paper and the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon to create today's cards.  This was an easy card.  Now I'm looking forward to using the rest of the dies in the Peony Dies to create a layered Peony.  I think I may have gotten a little carried away with all of the dies I used on this card, but I love the effect.

The basecard for this card is Gray Granite.  Then a layer of Petal Pink die cut using one of the Ornate Layers Dies.  Then a layer of Vellum Cardstock with one edge scalloped using one of the dies from the Peony Dies.  Then the image layer is a print from the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper die cut using one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I love the stitched border created with these Stitched rectangles Dies.

I stamped the Peony in Gray Granite onto Whisper White and colored it using the Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.  Then I die cut it using the coordinating die from Peony Dies.  I popped it up on Dimensional and Mini Dimensionals before adding it to the card front.

I used the larger of the two circles from Tasteful Labels Dies and cut it out of Petal Pink Cardstock.  I used one of the sentiments from the Prized Peony Stamp Set and stamped it in Gray Granite.  Then I created a bow with Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon and added it to the card.  I used Elegant Faceted Gems to accent the sentiment and card front.

The Peony Garden Suite is a lovey suite, with extensive variety.  Take some time to look at the samples on page 84 of the catalog to see more fun ways to use the Prized Peony Bundle.  You can create stunning cards with just a few stamped images, a bit of ribbon and and a few die cuts, and your friends and family will feel so special when they receive one of your charming, handmade cards.
