Halloween card idea using Owls from Stampin' Up! Have a Hoot Stamp Set

  • Have A Hoot Stamp Set for fun Fall and Halloween Cards
  • A quick tip for aligning your labels on your new stamps
  • Use Your Bonus Days Coupons by 31 August 2020
These owls are sooo cute!  I love the variety of stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! August-December 2020 Mini Catalog, and how well all of our products work together across the product line.  For this card, I combined elements from three stamp sets:  from the Have a Hoot Stamp Set, the Gather together Stamp Set and from the Forever Fern Stamp Set.  The Black grid was created using one of the dies from the Best Plaid Builder Dies. All of these elements create such a fun Halloween card.  You'll have so much fun coming up with your own scenes with the cute owls from the Have a Hoot stamp set.  You'll find yourself reaching for this cute set for Halloween, Christmas, and Fall Birthdays or Celebrations.

The basecard for this card is Thick Whisper White Cardstock.  Then one of the dies from the Best Plaid Builder Dies created the Basic Black grid.  It did need to be cut to fit the card front.  Then I stamped all of the remaining elements on Whisper White.

I used three different stamp sets to create all of the elements.  I used Mossy Meadow Ink and stamped several sets of leaves from the Forever Fen Stamp Set.  I used the Forever Flourishing Dies to die cut these elements.  The I stamp pumpkins from the Gather Together Stamp set, colored them with Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends, and used the Gathered Leaves Dies to die cut the pumpkins at the bottom of the page.

The owl elements were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink using the Have A Hoot Stamp Set.  Then I used the Peek-A-Hoot Dies to die cut the owls, with some additional fussy cutting to some of the branch elements.  The owls were colored with a variety of  Stampin' Blends Colors listed in the recipe below.
