Feels Like Frost...new Holiday Suite from Stampin' Up!

  • Stampin' Up! Feels Like Frost 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper
  • Ready for the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog?
  • Choose from two upcoming card classes

Stampin' Up! Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper

My preorder from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog arrived, and after unpacking and oohing and aahing over all of the new items, I couldn't wait to open the Feels Like Frost 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper.  One side of the paper is silver foil and white prints.  The opposite sides are winter prints.  Both sides are beautiful, and I struggled with which side to use first.  I settled on the silver foil and white print side, and although I also had the new Frosted Foliage Stamp Set and Frosted Frames from this new suite, I decide to reach for the old favorite, First Frost Stamp Set.  I love that Stampin' Up! has been creating stamp set that extend other sets.  Two sets of dies and two stamps give you even more creative options. You can see First Frost on page 140 of the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.   The Feels Like Frost Suite is on page 40 - 41 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog, which we are not allowed to show you until September 4.

First Frost Stamp Set and Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper

This card uses a basecard of Gorgeous Grape.  Then I used one of the Feels Like Frost 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper, with a print very similar to one of the dies from Frosted Bouquet Dies.  I die cut two boarders for the Feels Like Frost papers out of Silver Foil using the Delicate Lace Dies and added them to the edge of the Designer Series Paper.

Then I began die cutting several other items using the Frosted Bouquet Dies.  I die cut both labels -- one in Whisper White; the other in Gorgeous Grape.  I die cut leaves out of Vellum cardstock, and both Whisper White and Silver Foil leaves.  I stamped flower images from the First Frost Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape and in Heather Highland and used the Frosted Bouquet Dies to die cut them.

I layered the leaves and stems and flower images and adhered them to the card.  The First Frost Stamp Set is a nice transition set from late summer to the holidays.  The new Frosted Foliage Stamp Set includes snowflake images as well as additional stems and flower and more sentiments.  I can't wait to use the two sets together! more dimension to the image

I added a bow of 3/8" Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon, which is a perfect compliment to the Silver and White print Designer Series Paper.

These are the different prints on the Silver Foil / Whisper White side of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. They look like B/W in the photo below, but in real life they are beautiful Silver Foils.

These look like Black & White Prints; they're really Silver Foil & White

The opposite side of the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper include these beautiful pastel winter prints (below).

Watch my blog in the days leading up to the September 4 release of the Holiday Catalog to see sneak peeks of the new products from the Holiday catalog.
