Stampin' Up! Country Livin'

I needed some quick Birthday cards today, so I reached for a stamp set that I haven't given much love recently, -- Country Livin'. It's a well used set; one of my last remaining wood sets, but one of my all-time favorites.  It's Simple, Pared down. Timeless.

I broke out an Aqua Painter and used ink pad ink to color the guitar and boots images.

The basecard for today's card is Crumb Cake, then another layer of Crumb Cake dry embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.  I then used a sponge Dauber and enhanced the embossing with Crumb Cake ink.

Then I built a layer for the sentiment area using dies from The Stitched Shapes Framelits Set for a Very Vanilla layer, the I used the Wonderful Floral Framelit Die Set for a Rich Razzelberry layer.  Then, the Stitched Framelit Dies to create another Very Vanilla layer for the stamped sentiment.

I created a light wash with an Aqua Painter and Rich Razzelberry on the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies before stamping the sentiment in Rich Razzelberry ink.  The edge of the sentiment oval includes a small, Gold Faceted Gem.

The guitar is stamped in Soft Suede and then painted with an Aqua Painter and Crumb Cake ink.  The boots are stamped in Rich Razzelberry and then colored with an Aqua Painter and Rich Razzelberry ink.   We'll its time to hang up my boots for today.  Have a great evening.

Join us for the Embossing Folder Techniques Class - March 17

The new Country Floral Embossing folder has sparked interest from so many of you that I'm doing another Embossing Folder techniques class.  This will be my final class for March, and it will be my final class before the end of Sale-A-Bration.  This class is schedule for the afternoon of March 17.

I know live classes fuel creativity.  And this is a great opportunity for you to master several techniques with embossing folders that will help you extend the usefulness of your embossing folder investment.  There are so many ways to use these folders to emboss your papers, cards and envelopes.  You'll love using these techniques to add a "wow" factor to your next handmade card.

We'll use two different embossing folders to dry emboss the cards we'll make in this class, and we'll use heat embossing techniques as well.  You'll see how fast and easily you can dress up your cards, and how much fun you'll have sending these stunning cards to friends and family.

Show loved ones how much you care by sending these thoughtful, handmade cards to celebrate special birthdays, let someone know your thinking of them, a thank you, or sending them a beautiful Spring greeting.

Join us for a relaxing afternoon creating these 6 beautiful cards.  You'll have the opportunity to use new products from the Occasions catalog and the second and final release of Sale-A-Bration selections.  You're sure to want to add the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as a free selection with your next $50 order after seeing the different looks you'll achieve with this wonderful new embossing folder.

For a closer look at each project we'll make, take a look at the Meetup Photo album for this class, and register for the class while visiting my Meetup registration site.  The Meetup photo album includes individual photos of each project we'll make.

Class size is limited, so register for this class now.  Your class fee of $28 for these   projects will include precut materials, and embellishments.   Can't make the class?  If you already have the stamps, just order the precut kit and stamp on your own. Register and use your PayPal account to pay.  Or, if you prefer, message me through my Meetup site, and ask me to issue you a PayPal invoice for the class.
