Stampin' Up! Floral Romance

Oh my gosh!  Have you ever created a card and then just couldn't put it down.  You fell in love with your card.  You don't ever want to part with it.  That's one reason I always make two of every card I make.  Usually way more than two of every card.  But my initial creations are always two of each card.  I'm just in love with this card.  It just tickles my creative fancy on so many levels.

It begins with the lovely Floral Romance paper that includes printed vellum and prints like this that looks like velum, because of the soft elements in this print.  Today's print is a nice, heavy 12 X 12" paper.  Then the white embossing on vellum cardstock, and finally the Rectangular White frame and the die cut word "friend," using the Well Written Framelit Dies.  I'm so in love with the Floral Romance Suite from the Occasions Catalog.  I'm secretly hoping that when the next list of carry-over items is released from Stampin' Up! that the Floral Romance suite is carried forward into the June 2019-2020 Annual catalog.  A girl can hope...

The basecard for today's card is Granny Apple Green.  Then a layer of the Floral Romance Designer Series Paper.

Stampin' Up! Wonderful Romance Bundle 150592 USD $51.25

The image layer is an open rectangle cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies.  Then, the image from the Wonderful Romance Stamp Set is stamped in Versamark on Vellum Cardstock, and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Tip:  Heat you vellum from the backside and keep your heat tool moving to avoid burning your vellum.

Then, the vellum image is die cut using the  coordinating Wonderful Floral Framelit Dies.  I rolled up glue dots under the heavies part of the embossing so they wouldn't show when I attached the vellum die cut to the card front.

The Whisper White frame was created using the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies and is glued flat to the card front.  I selected a frame side that just fit the word "friend".  The Whisper White die cut word is from the Well Written Framelit dies.

The Whisper White Sheer Ribbon and Basic Pearl Jewels accent the card.

Another Embossing Folder Techniques Class

The new Country Floral Embossing folder has sparked interest from so many of you that I'm doing another Embossing Folder techniques class.  This will be my final class for March -- March 17-- and it will be my final class before the end of Sale-A-Bration.

I know live classes fuel creativity.  And this is a great opportunity for you to master several techniques with embossing folders that will help you extend the usefulness of your embossing folder investment.  There are so many ways to use these folders to emboss your papers, cards and envelopes.  You'll love using these techniques to add a "wow" factor to your next handmade card.

We'll use two different embossing folders to dry emboss the cards we'll make in this class, and we'll use heat embossing techniques as well.  You'll see how fast and easily you can dress up your cards, and how much fun you'll have sending these stunning cards to friends and family.

Show loved ones how much you care by sending these thoughtful, handmade cards to celebrate special birthdays, let someone know your thinking of them, a thank you, or sending them a beautiful Spring greeting.

Join us for a relaxing afternoon creating these 6 beautiful cards.  You'll have the opportunity to use new products from the Occasions catalog and the second and final release of Sale-A-Bration selections.  You're sure to want to add the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as a free selection with your next $50 order after seeing the different looks you'll achieve with this wonderful new embossing folder.

For a closer look at each project we'll make, take a look at the Meetup Photo album for this class, and register for the class while visiting my Meetup registration site.  The Meetup photo album includes individual photos of each project we'll make.

Class size is limited, so register for this class now.  Your class fee of $28 for these   projects will include precut materials, and embellishments.   Can't make the class?  If you already have the stamps, just order the precut kit and stamp on your own. Stampin' Up! Amazing Life Stamp Set

  • Stampin' Up! Amazing Life Cards
  • Floral Romance Specialty Designer Paper
  • Join Stampin' Up!;  New Demonstrators select $175 in products for $99

Stampin' Up! Amazing Life Stamp Set

I finally cracked open my Floral Romance Specialty Designer Paper package and decided to use the beautiful Pink Petal vellum print for today's card.  this is such a beautiful paper set from Stampin' Up!  It makes me want to hug the designers and thank them for coming up with such lovely papers to work with.

I paired the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Paper with the Amazing Life Stamp set.  I love the versatility of the sentiments in this set, and I used two of them on my samples.  The Floral Romance Specialty Designer Paper, the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies, and the Amazing Life Stamp Set are from the Occasions catalog and the purchase of all free would qualify you for a free selection from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure

I used a basecard of Petal Pink cardstock, then another layer of Petal Pink, and then a layer of the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Then I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies and created a stitched border frame for the Whisper White image layer.  Then I backed the piece from the inside of the frame with Basic Black to create another focal point on the card for the bow.  The bow is from the Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8" Variegated Ribbon, which is part of the Floral Romance Suite in the Occasions Catalog. .

On the Whisper White image layer, I first used the Petal Pink ink pad cover and an Aqua Painter to create a wash for my images.  Then I stamped the  cake image and two of the filigree images from the Amazing Life Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and used the Aqua Painter and Blender Pens to create shading on the cake.   Then I also stamped the two flowers from this set and colored them with Light Daffodil Delight, Light Mango Melody, and Light Old Olive Blends.  I fussy cut the flowers using Paper Snips.

I used a strip of Basic Black for my sentiments.  I stamped the sentiments in VersaMark and then covered them with White Embossing Powder.  I used the Heat Tool to set the powder.  I added three Clear Rhinestones below the bow. I really love how this card turned out.  It shows off so many of our Occasions Catalog products.

Need to place on order, today?  Remember that each $50 order earns you a free Sale-A-Bration selection from either the first release or second release Sale-A-Bration Brochures.
