Combine Hues of Happiness with Design a Daydream for a Dreamy Floral Greeting Card

I can't stop playing with the Hues Of Happiness Suite from the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog that launched 3 May 2022.  Today I paired floral elements die cut from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper with a print from the Design a Daydream 12 X 12 Designer Series Paper that can be earned as a Host Reward with a $150 order, less tax and shipping.  I picked a beautiful print from the Design a Daydream collection to showcase the florals die cuts from Hues of Happiness,  I added a sheer Pool Party Ribbon, and stamped sentiments from the Happiness Abounds and the Forever Fern Stamp Sets in Gorgeous Grape Ink onto a stitched circle die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I added a couple of Glossy Dots as accents to the corner of the card, and my cards were finished!  I love how these cards turned out!  I ordered more Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper as soon as ordering opened on 3 May 2022 -- yes, I admit it.  I got up at 4 am to make sure I was one of the first in line to place an order from the full selection in the new catalog.  Now I need to find the patients to wait until all the rest of my new products arrive to use them with the items from my Demonstrator preorder last month! 

To create today's card, I used a base card of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock.  Then a layer of Coastal Cabana.  Then I selected a print from the Design a Daydream 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper Pack -- a Host Reward you can purchase at a discount with a $150 or more order, (less tax and shipping). This is a special set of Designer Series Papers that includes 48 sheets (vs. our normal 12 X 12 packs which include 12 double-sided sheets) with 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.  I'm in love with the designs, and they coordinate beautifully with other products in our product line, as you can see from today's sample.

Then, I stamped sentiments using Gorgeous Grape Ink onto a stitched die cut circle of Basic White cardstock.   I used dies from the Happiness Abounds bundle to die cut floral images and leaves from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper and attached them to a circle die cut, and then popped this piece up on Dimensional.   

To complete the card, I cut a slit in the die cut circle under the bow, which allowed me to thread one side of the ribbon under the florals and the bow covered the small slit.  I used the 3/8" Pool Party Sheer Ribbon, which complimented the florals and prints in this card beautifully.  To add a little bling, I used two sizes of the Glossy Dots on an upper portion of the die cut sentiment circle.  These items are all available in the recently launches 2022-2023 Stampin' Up1 Annual Catalog.

• Are you ready for the new Annual Catalog?

This is a fun time of the year.  We are beginning to use items from the New Stampin' Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog while we also have items from the current 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  Today, I'm using items from both catalogs.  I'm highlighting the Hues of Happiness Suite from the upcoming catalog, and I'm using Highland Heather Grosgrain Ribbon from the current catalog that you'll want to pick up by 2 May 2022 as it is on the Last Chance list...and it is on sale for from $6.00 to $3.60, item 155812.  This is such a simple card to create.  After selecting the print from the Hues of Happiness 12' X 12" Designer Series Paper, it was easy to coordinate the Gorgeous Grape and the Fresh Freesia accent colors, picking up the colors in the Designer Series Paper.  Then, add a sentiment, a ribbon and one of the new Gorgons Grape Glossy Dot, and the card is done!  Of course you'll want to use the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set to stamp your envelope and the inside of your card. Tip:  If you order this set, you definitely want to order the bundle (stamp set and coordinating dies) as the dies cut the flowers from the stamp set as well as some of the flowers from Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. 

To create today's card, I used a base card of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock.  Then a layer of Fresh Freesia.  Then I selected one of the prints from the Hues of Happiness 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper, from the upcoming, new Annual Stampin' Up! catalog, which will be available for customer orders on 3 May 2022. 

I die cut Basic White labels using dies  from the Tasteful Label Dies on one card and the Stitched Rectangle Dies on the other card.  Note:  The Tasteful Label Dies are also on the Last Chance List and are on sale for $24.80, Item 152886.  These dies will only be available at this sale price until 2 May, 2022 .  

The sentiments are both from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set.  They are stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink onto the Basic white sentiment labels.  I added a Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dot, which are also part of the new Hues of Happiness Suite, to add a little bling to my cards.

New Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogs Release - 3 May 2022.  My current customers who have ordered within the past 6 months have already received their copy of the upcoming 2022-2022 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog. Hope you are enjoying your copy.  You wouldn't believe how dog-eared my last year's catalog has become!

In this day and age, why would anyone want a hard copy of a catalog, you might ask.  

• Because I love to mark up my copy with items I already have.  

• Next, I use two or three different sticky notes with items I'm going to order first (my must-haves), next (nice-to-haves), and finally (this is so cute, I should just get it).
