Make the cards you need for upcoming Occasions - Card Class January 19, 2020

All Occasions Card Class ...

Everyone loves to receive a greeting card, either through the post or personally presented by hand.  In this crazy fast, faster, fastest instant world that we all live in, its worth remembering that the greeting card is still considered by most as a truly effective way of telling someone you really care.

Time is the most precious thing we have to give, so if we spend time making and writing and sending a card, we are helping people feel valuable and worthwhile.  Celebrations happen all year long and you know you'll need greeting cards for many different special occasions. Join us to make these projects.

All Occasions Card Class #16
Start this year by creating these 6 cards, which you can use as samples or templates to make more cards on your own. We're using new sets from the Stampin' Up! current catalogs along with a cute purse treat holder. You'll finish this class with a collection of beautiful projects you'll find useful in letting others know how much you care.

In this class, we'll make the projects in the photo below.  Six projects where you'll use stamp sets, papers, and embellishments from the latest Stampin' Up! catalog, the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and one of the Free with $50or $100 order Sale-A-Bration selections. For one card, you'll learn to create your own designer paper that looks just as good as professional paper. These are great handmade projects to use when you want to send a special message to friends, or family.

We're using an assortment of Stampin' Up! stamps sets, die cuts and foils on these cards, and you'll want to take a closer look at each of the cards we're making in this class.

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives - December Kit

I had such a wonderful day recently.  I met a friend for coffee and we brought our December Something for Everything Paper Pumpkin Kits to work on while we caught up on the events over the holidays.  We had so much fun putting our own spin on the December 2019 Kit.

Here is the kit package where you can see the suggested cards. The three cards on the outside of the Paper Pumpkin package are the alternative cards we created from the kit. The pieces were so much fun to play with.  I especially liked the  gold foil die cuts.  I usually have a hard time working with foil without getting glue all over it.  The foil pieces, and many of the die cuts in this kit are adhesive-backed, so working with them is soooo easy!

These are the alternative cards we created from our kit.   The majority of pieces on our alternative cards were mostly from the kit with a few basecards and die cuts added.   Before I met my friend, I looked at the colors in the kit and quickly cut some Whisper White to use as basecards and die cut a few sentiment labels in Whisper White.  Then, as we started personalizing our kit, we found that we could easily cut the backs off the cards and used them as coordinating papers.

On the card below, I cut used two of the sentiments stamps from the kit, placed the on the same block, and stamped them together on a die-cut sentiment label from the Frosted Bouquet Dies.  The flower stamp and flower die cut are from the Paper Pumpkin Kit, as were the gold leaves die cut.  he flowers and two leaves are from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set.

This card, below, is pretty much the layout from the card kit instructions.  However, we cut off the back and used it as a mat for the cut down front.  Then it was all mounted on a Thick Whisper White basecard.

Below is the a card created by cutting off 2" on one of the card fronts and 2" of a card back and then adding a small strip of Terracotta Tile down the seam.  I liked the hexagon shape but I wanted it to match the Terracotta Tile accent.  So I used the die cut from the kit as a template to cut a hexagon shape out of 6" x 6" Terracotta Tile Designer Series Papers.  Then I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive ink to pick up the stripe on the left side of the card.  Then I cut the gold foil leaves in half and placed them under my sentiment.  The flower and rhinestone and label with the gold edge is from the Paper Pumpkin kit, as is the matching envelope.

Paper Pumpkin craft subscription box is a great way to get creative each month.  Your first kit comes with a FREE, clear stamping block.  The box you receive each month contains all the materials you need to craft with ease, from a stamp set to ink, and die cuts to precut paper.  All you need to do is follow the crafting instructions and assemble the pieces to create a card or project.  Or let your creativity flow and personalize your Paper Pumpkin.

We had so much fun working on our December Something for Everything kit, I'm going to suggest we meet again next month for coffee and kit assembly together!  And invite more stampin' friends!
