Happy 4th to our Sweet Land of Liberty

  •  Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch for Happy 4th themed greeting card
  • Travelling?  Take along one of the new Kit Collections for easy crafting while away
  • 15% off Select Designer Series Paper Sale - 1 July- 2 August 2021
Celebrating the long week-end with a fun card using the Ice Cream Builder Punch, which coordinates with the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set.  Just add Real Red, Pacific Point Blue and Basic White cardstock ice cream layers, plus a little bit of Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper for the cone, which you can also create using the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set.  I used dies from the Painted Labels Dies to create the Basic White label and the swirled background element.  Papers from the In Good Taste 12' X 12" Designer Series Paper Pack worked well with the Crumb Cake base card.  The sentiment is from an old retired stamp set, called July Fourth, which I'm so glad I kept!  I certainly works well with today's theme.  Happy Independence Day, all!

Stampin' Up! Painted Labels Dies and Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch create this fun 4th of July Greeting Card

The basecard for this card is Crumb Cake.  Then a layer of Basic White Cardstock, and then a woodgrain print from the In good Taste 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper, which is part of the 15% off Paper Sale going on until 2 August 2021.

I used another print from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper along with the the Painted Labels Dies to create the background element behind the sentiment labels.  I used another die from that set to create the Basic White sentiment label. The sentiment is from the retired July Fourth Stamp Set, now many years retired.  You may remember that these images were also offered as Digital Downloads at one time as well.  Make me wonder what other fun items I have hiding in my retired stash!   The sentiment is stamped in Pacific Point ink.

I used more stamps from the July Fourth Stamp Set to stamp the inside of my card.  For the card front images, I used the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch to create the layers in Red, White and Blue for my Ice Cream Cone.  The cone uses the recently retired Ice cream Corner Designer Series Paper, but the current Sweet Ice Cream stamp set includes images for stamping the cone.  The enamel stars are from retired enamel embellishments I've hung on to over the years.

I'm sure if you've been stamping a while, you'll find you've accumulate several items that are retired, long before you've stop loving them. I sure have.   I found a couple of star punches and some enamel stars in my retired stash that helped me complete the accents on this card.  One of the benefits of working with Stampin' Up! products is how well they coordinate throughout the years.  Don't be afraid to hang on to your favorite punches, dies, embellishments and papers.  If it appealed to you enough to purchase them, you'll definitely find a use as you create wonderful stamped projects for family and friends.  Order current Annual Catalog items from my Stampin' Up! shopping site  24 X 7.

Don't be intimidate, like me.

  • Stampin' Up! Painted Poppies and Painted Labels Dies
  • Poppy Moments Dies for stunning backgrounds
  • Final 3 days of Year End Closeout

Poppy Moments Dies for Stunning Backgrounds

I have to admit that the Peaceful Poppies Suite has so many piece that I've been intimidated to work with both sets of the coordinating Dies. The suite includes two stamp sets:  Painted Poppies and Peaceful Movement, and two sets of Dies:  Painted Labels and Poppy Moments.  Today, I finally decide I was ready to tackle all of these wonderful dies.  Oh my gosh!  I love the outcome.  See page 27 of the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.  The background die I used from the Poppy Moments Dies is shown in more detail in the samples on that page.  While my card is relatively simple, I love all the detail the dies add.  The pieces remove so easily.

The basecard is Thick Whisper White.  Then another layer of Whisper White is die cut with a die from the Poppy Moments Dies.  You really have to use the die to see how beautiful it is.

The flowers and two leaves are from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set.  I used the Painted Labels Dies to die cut the flowers and leaves and sentiment label.  The sentiments are from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.  I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for the sentiments.

To complete my card, I used a few of the gold sequins from the Peaceful Poppies Sequins to add interest.

Below is the series of cards I've been working on using the Peaceful Poppies Suite.  I've only begun to explore the different looks I can get with this stamp set.  If you're wondering which is the first set to go onto your Shopping List when customers are able to order from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog on January 3, my recommendation is to get the entire Peaceful Poppies Suite.  You'll find it perfect for simple paper, ink and stamp projects, and then you'll love the sophisticate cards you create with the dies, Designer Series Papers, and coordinating accessories with this Suite.

My current customers who have purchased within the past 6 months have now received their copies of the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.  You'll want to take a look at the entire Peaceful Poppies Suite on pp. 24 of the catalog.  Customers can begin ordering from the new catalog on January 3, 2020.  If you don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the new, January - June 2020 Mini catalog, contact me.   I would love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
