Stampin' Up! Snow is Glistening and Snowfall Thinlits DIes

  • Snowfall Thinlits Dies
  • Craft fun during the holidays stress-free with a Paper Pumpkin Kit

Stampin' Up! Merry Christmas To All

I'm frantically trying to wrap up all my activities before joining my fellow demonstrators in Orlando for the 30th Anniversary of Stampin' Up! Celebration.  I always dreamt that once I was retired I would have plenty of time to make swaps, arrange for sight seeing in the city where Stampin' Up! On Stage events were held, plus leave my home in a state of calm organization.

We'll, that ain't happening.    I'm still working on swaps, I still haven't decided which Orlando sites I want to see, and my closet, my office, and my craft room look like a tornado hit them! So today when I realized the day was almost over, I literally grabbed a few scraps and put together this cute card.  The Snow is Glistening Stamp set and the Snowfall Thinlits were sitting out on my desk and I think I broke a record in how little time it took me to make today's card --  a testament to how easy this set is to use!   I didn't even really think about the design.  I just grabbed what was handy, stamped, embossed, die cut, glued, and I was done.

I love the beautiful cards you can create so quickly with this special, limited time Snowflake Showcase set.  Today's card has a basecard of Crumb Cake cardstock.  Then a layer of Whisper White.  Then another layer of Crumb Cake.  I used one of the snowfall stamps from the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set to create a White Embossed background for the Whisper White Snowflake.

Then I stamped one of sentiments from the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set and white heat embossed it at the bottom of the smaller Crumb Cake layer.

Then I used the Snowfall thinlit Dies and die cut the largest snowflake from Winter White, and one of the small snowflakes from Crumb Cake Cardstock.

The large, white snowflake is attached with a couple of Dimensionals.  The small, Crumb Cake snowflake is attached with a glue dot.  If you need a fast, easy card for the Holidays, get the Snow is Glistening Stamp set and the coordinating Snowfall thinlit Dies before they are gone.  They are only available until November 30 or until they sell out.  Don't delay!

Fine these sets and dies on my Stampin' Up Store, and other holiday and dies in the  Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  Order your holiday stamp sets and dies soon so you'll have them in plenty of time to create your handmade holiday cards.

Stampin' Up! Copper Tea Tin & Gift Card Set

  • Stampin' Up Cooper Tea Tin
  • 3 X 3 gift card set using Joyous Noel Specialty DSP
  • Holiday Paper Pumpkin kit orders due by November 10

Copper Tea Tin Gift Card set

It's time to begin thinking about Thanksgiving and Holiday hostess gifts...for that wonderful hostess that spends hours preparing delicious, family meals and sets a warm, family-friendly table for us to surround on specials days  Here's a charming, hand-made Holiday gift for you to hand you hostess as a special thank-you for bringing us all together during the Holiday.  And, if you're in Houston, TX, you can join us this week end to make this and other Holiday crafts.  This gift uses the Stampin' Up! Copper Tea Tins and Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper, plus die cuts using the November Special, the Snowfall dies, part of the Snowflake Showcase.

The Stampin' Up! Copper Tea Tin is wrapped in a 3" X 12" piece of Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Someone at Stampin' Up! really though through the size of this tin!  Then a ribbon of 1/2" Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon.  On top of the Gray Granite ribbon is another ribbon, a Petal Pink 1/4" Ribbon with a Metallic thread from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.  Both ribbons are from the main catalog.  basecard for this Holiday card is Thick Whisper White.

Then a die cut Snowflake using the new Snowfall Thinlits, part of a special November Promotion beginning November 1 for customers.  The snowflake is cut from a Copper Foil Sheet, and it matches the Copper in both the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Copper Tea Tin.   I cut a 1-1/4" circle out of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and placed it behind the center of the snowflake die before cutting.  I only wanted to cover the center portion of the back of the snowflake since that was the only area that needed to adhere to the ribbons.  It worked perfectly, and I avoided getting glue on the front side of the Copper Foil Sheet.  This is a great gift hold to use throughout November-December-January, and an be filled with gift cards, candy treats, tea, or an assortment of small gifts.

Great Thanksgiving Hostess Thank You Gift

Then I created four 3" X 3" gift cards to fill the decorated Copper Tea Tin.  I used a 3" X 6" Gray Granite cardstock base, folded to 3" X 3".  Then a layer of Soft Suede, Then a layer of Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I then die cut a layer of Soft Suede using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Then the sentiment layer was stamped in Soft Suede Ink and punched using the Darling Label Punch Box.  Three of the sentiments are from the stamps in the Darling Label Punch Box.  The fourth is from the Hand Delivered Hostess stamp set.

Each card also includes a die cut element die cut from Copper Foil Sheets using the Snowfall Thinlit Dies, part of the short-time special available for the month of November only. Except for the leaf, which is from the Stitched Seasons Framelit die set. I found that all of these dies worked best when using the  Precision Base Plate with your Big Shot and removing the small chads with the Big Shot Die Brush.  I also backed my Copper Foil Sheet with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets before die cutting.  Then I used my paper piercer to remove the backing from each die cut and easily adhered them to the card without fussing with Glue Dots or Multipurpose glue getting on the front of my Copper foil.

Take a look at other sets and dies available in the Stampin' Up! main Catalog and Holiday Catalog.  Order your holiday stamp sets and dies soon so you'll have them in plenty of time to create your handmade holiday cards.
