Stampin' Up! Meerkats Stamp Set
Today's card is so cute, you'll want to grin right back at the sweet meerkats on this card. Meerkats are so funny when they make their squeaking noises and they always make me feel a little more light and bright. This set is a free Sale-A-Bration selection with a $50 order (less tax and shipping). I paired it with an embossing folder from the Power of Hope Bundle. The embossing folder is called Stone 3D embossing folder and can be earned for free as part of the Power of Hope Bundle with a $100 order from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.
I think the Stone 3D embossing folder is a the perfect fit as a background for this card. I can see this embossing folder as a background for any of our jungle animal stamp sets. For today's card, I used a Crumb Cake basecard. Then a layer of Soft Suede. Then a layer of Crumb Cake dry embossed with the Stone 3D Embossing Folder. The image layer is Whisper White with a mat of Soft Suede. I added two strips of 5/16" Braided Burlap Trim before adding the image layer. I attached the Braided Burlap Trim with Glue Dots.
I stamped the images of meerkats and the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then I colored the meerkats using the Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Markers. I fussy cut another meerkat to add to the bunch and popped him up on Dimensionals. Then I used an Aqua Painter and a Balmy Blue ink pad to add a few streaks of sky behind the meerkats. i love the happy grins on the faces of these meerkats. You'll make anyone receiving this card smile. It's like playing with a puppy.
Recipe
