A Birthday Card using Stampin' Up! Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper

  •  Stampin' Up! Happiness Abounds Stamp Set
  • Hues of Happiness Suite with Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper
  • Wow!  An In Color Starter Kit Special!
One of the reasons I joined Stampin' Up! years ago was the frustration I had trying to coordinate papers, ribbons, and cardstock with inks and stamp sets from different brands.  Today's card reinforced for me how wonderfully easy it is to create a card when items across a product line work together!  Today, I'm again showing items from the Hues of Happiness Suite, which I know you're going to want to add to your Shopping List when the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog goes live 3 May, 2022.  My card today uses a print from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper with Polished Pink and shades of green-- Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Ribbon, Evening Evergreen Opal Rounds, and Garden Green Cardstock to be exact.  Other features of this card include dry embossing a piece of Polished Pink cardstock using the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder, (Edited:  I meant to use Parisian Flourish Embossing folder, but mistakenly grabbed Country Floral dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Retired)) and I used Daffodil Delight Cardstock as a matte around the Hues of Happiness floral print.   And because I'm using items from the current catalog that will retire 2 May 2022, you'll want to check the Last Chance List and pick up some of these items at a discount before they retire.  For instance, the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder is normally $10.00 but is on sale for $6.00, Item #151474, and the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" reversible ribbon is on sale from $7.50 to $6.00, Item #149496, but only until 2 May 2022.

To create today's card, I used a base card of Polished Pink Cardstock.  Then another layer of Polished Pink dry embossed with the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder(Retired), but you can substitute Parisian Flourish 3D on sale as part of the Last Chance List right now.  This means it will only be available until 2 May 2022.  Then I used a print from the Hues of Happiness 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper matted with Daffodil Delight for the center of my card.

I used a piece of Garden Green Cardstock for my sentiment, which I heat embossed in White Embossing Powder after stamping the sentiment in Versamark ink.  The sentiment is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, which is part of the Hues of Happiness Suite.  After cutting a tail in the piece of Garden Green Cardstock, I also added an Evening Evergreen embellishment from the new 2021-2022 In Color Opal Rounds, which will be available 3 May 2022.

To complete the card, I added a ribbon and bow using Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8' Reversible Ribbon, another items from the Last Chance List that will only be available until 2 May 2022.

Below are the tools used to create these cards.

If you want to make this card, be sure to pick up the items from the Last Chance List, the 3/8" Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon and the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder by 2 May 2022.  Then, on 3 May, you'll be able to order the Hues of Happiness Suite from the new annual catalog.  Check it out on page 108 of your new Annual Catalog.  Visit my Stampin' Up! on-line store to place your order for Stampin' Up! products.   Use the April Host Code for a thank you gift for shopping with me.  April Host Code:  RMUU6V6G  Orders over $150 earn Stampin' Rewards from Stampin' Up!, and you do not use the Host Code to qualify for Stampin' Rewards.

New Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogs Release - 3 May 2022.  My current customers who have ordered within the past 6 months have already received their copy of the upcoming 2022-2022 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog. Hope you are enjoying your copy.  You wouldn't believe how dog-eared my last year's catalog has become!

In this day and age, why would anyone want a hard copy of a catalog, you might ask.
  • Because I love to mark up my copy with items I already have.
  • Next, I use two or three different sticky notes with items I'm going to order first (my must-haves), next (nice-to-haves), and finally (this is so cute, I should just get it).
  • Then, I look at the sample cards in the catalog, which I'll copy exactly or use as inspiration to create my own version.  It's so much easier to lay the catalog open to the card idea as you create it rather than trying to access your mobile's phones photos and opening your screen saver.
If you do not have a current demonstrator and would like a new Stampin' Up! Annual catalog, please contact me here.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Card idea using deer from North Pole Wonder Dies

  • North Pole Wonder Dies
  • Final Days of Get & Go Starter Kit Promotion - End September 30, 2020

I'm so happy with the way this Christmas card turned out.  I used the Stampin' Up! North Pole Wonder Dies.  I also used one of the prints from the Regals 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper, and I used accents in Smoky Slate and a border die cut from the Autumn Essentials Dies.  Then I added some Frosted Epoxy Droplets to the corner and a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set.  I'm so in love with how easily this detailed deer die cuts.  If you've been hesitant to get the North Pole Wonder Dies because of the detailed antlers, I can tell you that this set of dies cuts beautifully with no struggle getting these detailed antlers to release from the die.

The basecard for this card is Cherry Cobbler.  Then a layer of Whisper White Cardstock is the image layer.  The Smoky Slate board is created using one of the border dies in the Autumn Essentials Dies Set.  The boarder includes two layers of small holes, but I only showed one layer of small holes on this card.   I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach it to the back of the Whisper White layer.

I die cut three deer using one of the North Pole Wonder Dies from Smoky Slate, and a another deer from a Cherry Cobbler print in the Regals 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, covered it with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and set it using my heat tool.    Below are the Stampin' Up! items used to create this Christmas Cards.

The detail in the deer die from the North Pole wonder Dies has really captured my imagination this year, and I can't wait to create more using the Wishes & Wonder Stamp Set and Dies Bundle.  You'll enjoy creating your own unique cards using elements from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog or the August - December 2020 Mini catalog.  Check the Recipe below for items used on this beautiful card.   Add these stamp sets and products to your Shopping List today.
