The basecard for today's card is Basic Gray.  Then a Smoky Slate layer is die cut using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies and then stamped with the Crackle Paint Background stamp in Smoky Slate ink.  Then the hearts are die cut using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies out of Smoky Slate cardstock.     

  

The paw prints are from the Happy Tails Stamp set and are stamped on Smoky Slate hearts in Smoky Slate ink.  The sentiment -- also from Happy Tails -- is stamped in Versamark ink,sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, and then heat set with the Heat Tool.

The puppy is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on Whisper White and then punched out with the Dog Builder Punch, and mounted on dimensionals before adding it to the card.  The heart is punched out of Lovely Lipstick cardstock and it is part of the Dog Builder Punch.

Stampin' Up! Amazing Life

The Amazing Life Stamp Set was one of those sets that I just couldn't get my head around when I first saw it in the catalog.  Stampin' Up! always gives us a couple of Birthday sets with each new catalog, and when the Occasions Catalog previewed to demonstrators during OnStage in early November, I have to admit that this set wasn't high on my list.   However, after seeing many wonderful samples over the past few months and working with it on my own, I'm now totally in love with this set and can't wait to see what I can create next.  

For today's card, I decided to use the Blossoms Elements-- small resin flowers in three colors--from the Annual Catalog as an accent on my card.  You're going to love these little resin treats that come in Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, and So Saffron!  They add so much to a simple card. 
   

The basecard for today's card is Daffodil Delight.  Then a layer of Basic Black.  And next is a layer of Whisper White with a 1" strip of Gingham Gala 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper at the bottom.  
  

The sentiment is from the Amazing Life set.  It is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  This is such a large image that I grabbed my Stamparatus instead of a large, clear block to stamp this image.  I was worried that the stamp might now stamp fully the first time I inked it and I wanted to be able to stamp the image again with the Stamparatus if I needed to rather than discarding a bad stamped image.  Not to worry.  This image stamped beautifully the first time, and, again, the second time I tried it.  Clean, beautifully, crisp image.

Then I grabbed a piece of Basic Black and stamped the banner in Versamark ink, covered it with White embossing powder, and heat set it with my Heat Tool.  I fussy cut it and mounted it on mini dimensional before adding it to my card.  I tied a piece of Organdy Ribbon from the sold-out Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack onto the bottom of my card, and then added the small Blossoms Elements --resin rose--onto the side of the card with a glue dot.   

This is such an uplifting card, and so easy to make.  I can't wait to make more to add to my card stash to have on hand when I want to send a quick message to someone special to me.

Stampin' Up! Country Livin'

I needed some quick Birthday cards today, so I reached for a stamp set that I haven't given much love recently, -- Country Livin'. It's a well used set; one of my last remaining wood sets, but one of my all-time favorites.  It's Simple, Pared down. Timeless.

I broke out an Aqua Painter and used ink pad ink to color the guitar and boots images. 
   

The basecard for today's card is Crumb Cake, then another layer of Crumb Cake dry embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.  I then used a sponge Dauber and enhanced the embossing with Crumb Cake ink.  
  

Then I built a layer for the sentiment area using dies from The Stitched Shapes Framelits Set for a Very Vanilla layer, the I used the Wonderful Floral Framelit Die Set for a Rich Razzelberry layer.  Then, the Stitched Framelit Dies to create another Very Vanilla layer for the stamped sentiment.            

I created a light wash with an Aqua Painter and Rich Razzelberry on the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies before stamping the sentiment in Rich Razzelberry ink.  The edge of the sentiment oval includes a small, Gold Faceted Gem.   

The guitar is stamped in Soft Suede and then painted with an Aqua Painter and Crumb Cake ink.  The boots are stamped in Rich Razzelberry and then colored with an Aqua Painter and Rich Razzelberry ink.   We'll its time to hang up my boots for today.  Have a great evening.

Stampin' Up! Country Floral Embossing Folder

Today's card began with a wash of So Saffron made with a stamp pad and an Aqua Painter on Whisper White cardstock.  I caution you to create this wash with a light touch and avoid going over the paper over an over as you will create bubbles if too much water is applies.   Then I ran the Whisper White with the So Saffron Wash through the Big Shot using the Country Floral Embossing Folder.
   

The basecard for today's card is Daffodil Delight.  Then on the left side is the Country Floral Embossing Folder dry embossed piece of Whisper White.  This piece is colored with the Daffodil Delight Blends with the centers of the flowers highlighted with the Mango Melody Light Blends.  On the right side is a 1/1-4" strip of Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper.  
  

I created a Whisper White border using one of the three borders from the Delicate Lace Edgelits die.  This border is placed under the embossed layer and my samples show it with just a little of the edge of the border showing and my other samples show a large amount of the border show.  I'm not sure which I like best.   I like them both!          

Then, the Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon is tied in a bow and hides the seam between the embossed piece and the border.  The sentiment is stamped on a Whisper White shape die cut using one of the dies from the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies.    It is stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink.  

The flowers are stamped using the little flower from the Wonderful Romance Stamp set, colored with a Daffodil Delight Blends Pen and die cut with the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies.  A small So Saffron pearl from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls package was placed in the center of each flower.   Leaves are punch out of Pear Pizzazz, also using Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies.
