Stampin' Up! Amazing Life

The Amazing Life Stamp Set was one of those sets that I just couldn't get my head around when I first saw it in the catalog.  Stampin' Up! always gives us a couple of Birthday sets with each new catalog, and when the Occasions Catalog previewed to demonstrators during OnStage in early November, I have to admit that this set wasn't high on my list.   However, after seeing many wonderful samples over the past few months and working with it on my own, I'm now totally in love with this set and can't wait to see what I can create next.

For today's card, I decided to use the Blossoms Elements-- small resin flowers in three colors--from the Annual Catalog as an accent on my card.  You're going to love these little resin treats that come in Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, and So Saffron!  They add so much to a simple card.

The basecard for today's card is Daffodil Delight.  Then a layer of Basic Black.  And next is a layer of Whisper White with a 1" strip of Gingham Gala 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper at the bottom.

The sentiment is from the Amazing Life set.  It is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  This is such a large image that I grabbed my Stamparatus instead of a large, clear block to stamp this image.  I was worried that the stamp might now stamp fully the first time I inked it and I wanted to be able to stamp the image again with the Stamparatus if I needed to rather than discarding a bad stamped image.  Not to worry.  This image stamped beautifully the first time, and, again, the second time I tried it.  Clean, beautifully, crisp image.

Then I grabbed a piece of Basic Black and stamped the banner in Versamark ink, covered it with White embossing powder, and heat set it with my Heat Tool.  I fussy cut it and mounted it on mini dimensional before adding it to my card.  I tied a piece of Organdy Ribbon from the sold-out Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack onto the bottom of my card, and then added the small Blossoms Elements --resin rose--onto the side of the card with a glue dot.

This is such an uplifting card, and so easy to make.  I can't wait to make more to add to my card stash to have on hand when I want to send a quick message to someone special to me.

Join us for the Embossing Folder Techniques Class - March 17

Seats remain for the March 17 Embossing Folder Techniques Class.  The new Country Floral Embossing folder has sparked interest from so many of you that I'm doing another class highlighting Embossing Folder techniques.  This will be my final class for March, and it will be my final class before the end of Sale-A-Bration.

Live classes fuel creativity.  And this is a great opportunity for you to master several techniques with embossing folders that will help you extend the usefulness of your embossing folder investment.  There are so many ways to use these folders to emboss your papers, cards and envelopes.  You'll love using these techniques to add a "wow" factor to your next handmade card.  You'll see how fast and easily you can dress up your cards, and how much fun you'll have sending these stunning cards to friends and family.

Join us for a relaxing afternoon creating these 6 beautiful cards.  You'll have the opportunity to use products from the Occasions catalog and the second and final release of Sale-A-Bration selections.  You're sure to want to add the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as a free selection with your next $50 order after seeing the different looks you'll achieve with this wonderful new embossing folder.

For a closer look at each project we'll make, take a look at the Meetup Photo album for this class, and register for the class while visiting my Meetup registration site.  The Meetup photo album includes individual photos of each project we'll make.

Class size is limited, so register for this class now.  Your class fee of $28 for these   projects will include pre-cut materials, and embellishments.   Can't make the class?  If you already have the stamps, just order the precut kit and stamp on your own. Register and use your PayPal account to pay.  Or, if you prefer, message me through my Meetup site, and ask me to issue you a PayPal invoice for the class.
