Beautiful Day creates beautiful butterflies

I'm a sucker for butterflies.  If Stampin' Up! puts out a stamp set with a butterfly image, its on my wish list immediately!  I made this card several weeks ago and then forgot to post it.  I guess I wanted to hoard it all to my self for a while.  It is such a beautiful card.  The butterfly is translucent because it is stamped on vellum.

The basecard is Pear Pizzazz.  Then a layer of Basic Black.  Then a layer of on of the prints from the Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The oval center under the butterfly are Very Vanilla and Basic Black cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits The three banners are Basic Black, Pear Pizzazz and the sentiment is stamped on Very Vanilla.  The sentiment is also from the Beautiful Day stamp set.  There is half a Silver Metallic Doily tucked between the banners.

The butterfly is stamped in black embossing powder on vellum cardstock.  Then the butterfly is colored with Old Olive light and dark Blends.  I hand cut the butterfly and mounted the body on mini dimensionals to the oval frame.

Valentine card & gift class February 4

We're making Valentine gifts and card during our class on February 4.     Take a look at the cards and gifts pictured below that we'll make during this class.  You won't want to miss it!   These cute items are great to have on hand for Valentine's Day giving.  Most of these projects were made with new products from the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog.

The class includes 3 full-size cards, three treat packages, and three of the new Stampin' Up! narrow note cards with matching envelopes.  You'll find so many uses for the Silver Mini Gable Boxes and the 2 X 2 X 2"clear plastic cubes.  The new Lots to Love Box Framelits Die creates the the Valentine treat box.  I'll be using the narrow note cards and the treat box other than for Valentine's Day.  This treat box  holds the new narrow note cards -- a perfect gift.
