Petal Passion Suite

Today was cloudy, gray and windy in Houston, with a few sprinkles of rain.  While it was warm, the gray clouds put a damper on my mood.  I decided I needed color to cheer me up, and my craft room holds the wonderful tools to lift my mood.  I choose a black and white print from the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper Pack for coloring.  This paper can be colored with Blends, color pencils or our Stampin' Wight Markers.  I choose Blends.  I think even my camera was happy with today's card!  It really brightened my mood.

The Petal Passion Suite is from the Occasions Catalog.  Papers, Dies, Stamp sets, embossing folders and embellishments are all part of this suite.

I used the Light and Dark Calypso Coral and the Light and Dark Old Olive Blends to color the large flower I selected from the 12 X 12" paper pack.  This paper is such a value because it can be colored to coordinate with any of your cardstock colors, or leave it "as is" for striking black and white card designs. . . It's up to you!

Then I tried several ribbons, and decided to create my own.  I selected the Gold Metallic-Edged 3/8" ribbon and used the Dark Calypso Coral alcohol-based Blends to color the ribbon.  It takes seconds to air dry.  I think the Gold metallic edge gives the card just the right amount of bling without being too much. I'm also happy to see that this ribbon will carry over to the new catalog in June.  Using Blends to color this metallic-edged ribbon means I'll be able to match many more colors without purchasing ribbons in every color.

I selected the Thank You sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set, which coordinates with the paper, and stamped the sentiment on Whisper White in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  I used the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut the Whisper White and a Basic Black scalloped oval to frame the sentiment.   This was such a fast card to put together, yet it looks amazing!

The good news is that the Petal Palette stamp set and coordinating dies will carry over to the new catalog.  However, you probably noticed that the bundle is on the Last-Chance Product list (see below).  To clarify, this means that the 10% savings on the bundle will retire May 31.  However, you'll still be able to purchase the stamp set and coordinating Petals & More dies individually in the new catalog coming out in June.  You'll want to purchase them at the 10% savings now if you have this set on your wish list.  You'll also want to pick up a couple packs of the coordinating papers used on today's card before May 31, since the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper will retire on May 31.  Hurry, as the paper will only be available until it sells out.

Download the Last-Chance Products Lists

Stampin' Up! has released copies of the Last-Chance Product Lists.  If you're like me, you'll want to start marking up your current catalogs so you know which items will retire so you can order your favorites before they're gone.  With the new Annual Catalog coming June 2, you'll want to know which current products will retire and which will carry over when the new June catalog is released to budget your purchases for the next several month..

To view all of the retiring products, visit my online store.  This is your best source to see if the product you want is still available.  As items sell out, they will no longer be listed in my online store.

To download the .pdf versions, click the links below each image below.

Most items are only available until they sell out.  Stamp sets will be available until May 25.  Bundles that carry over to the new catalog are on the retired list because they will no longer receive special bundle pricing.  They will only be priced as individual items.  If you want a bundle listed in the current catalogs, purchase the bundles now from the current catalogs to ensure you receive the 10% bundle savings listed in the current catalog.
