- Stampin' Up! Translucent Florals Stamp Set and Delightful Florals Designer Series Paper

Here's a really fun way to show off the Delightful Florals Designer Series Paper and the Translucent Florals Stamp Set. It's called a Square Column Card. The square column helps this card to stand up as a display, and it also fold flat to fit into a standard medium envelope for mailing. I used one of the leaf prints from the Delightful Florals Designer Series Paper. Then I used stamped images from the Translucent Florals Stamps Set and Dies Bundle to create a focal point on the main panel, which remains a focal point even after the card is folded for mailing. My color theme today is Basic White, Calypso Coral, Fresh Freesia, Berry Burst, Parakeet Party, and Pretty Peacock. I used a sentiments from the Layering Leaves Stamp Set, and from the Darling Details Stamp Set. I stamped leaves and stems using Parakeet Party Ink, and Pretty Peacock Ink, and added Melon Mambo Solid Faceted Gems as accents. The credit for this card design goes to fellow demonstrator, Rachel Tessmen, and she has a video demonstration of another version of this card on her Stamp Your Art Out YouTube Channel.
The 5-1/2" X 10-1/8" basecard for this card is Thick Basic White Cardstock, and is scored along the long side at 4-1/4", 5-3/4", 7-1/4" and 8-3/4". Then, there are 3 pieces of the leaf pattern Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper cut at 1-3/8" X 5-3/8". I first folded my base card on the score lines using a bone folder, and folded the box piece towards the center of the card. I found gluing the three panel pieces while the basecard was still flat made it easier to position each piece correctly. Look through the photos on this page to see the correct placement of the designer series paper. Leave the center panel plain to decorate with Translucent Florals Stamped images. Once the three panels are in place, glue the end panel to the basecard forming the column.
Next, I created stamped floral images, leaves and vines in Berry Burst, Calypso Coral, Parakeet Party and Pretty Peacock and used the Translucent Florals Dies to die cut images to use on the card front. I glued all of the die cuts flat except for the Berry Burst floral. It is placed on Dimensionals before adding it to my front panel.

To finish my cards, I used Basic White Cardstock scraps and stamped sentiments from the Translucent Florals Stamp Set on one card and sentiments from the Darling Details Stamp Set on the other. I used Berry Burst Ink to stamp both. I also added a second part to the sentiment on the inside of the card. For the Sending Hugs sentiment, I had to mask one of the words and stamped the front. Then I cleaned the stamp, masked the other word and stamped it on the inside of the card. If you've sent standard cards to someone in the past, the Square Column Card adds a bit of fun when your loved one opens it. It does fold flat and can be sent in our standard medium envelope.
