So, what do you do when you don't have the Designer Series Paper color you want to use for your card? That's where your Blending Brushes work wonderful transformations. I selected a print from the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper, a Free Sale-A-Bration Selection, with a muted design, and transformed it from a Pebbled Path print to an Old Olive print by using a large Blending Brush to cover the print in Old Olive ink. Then I used the Everyday Details Bundle to create the rest of the card. I created an opening in the center of the card using the Everyday Details Dies, and then added the transformed designer series paper from Softly Stippled to the front of a Thick Basic White basecard. I stamped the floral/vase image from the Everyday Details Stamp set onto the center of the opening on the Thick Basic White Cardstock, and then colored it with Copper Clay and Old Olive Blends. I used another die from the Everyday Details Dies to create a sentiment label, and stamped a sentiment from the Everyday Details Stamp Set in Copper Clay ink onto the label. I added a Lolly Lemon Bow using twine from the Baker's Twine Three Color Pack, and I used Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds as the center for the largest flower, and as accents elsewhere on my card. Its such a joy to create such handmade masterpieces to send to people you love.

You'll enjoy the creative process on selecting exactly the colors you want to work with -- even if the designer series paper isn't the color you prefer to use. I created a Thick Basic White Cardstock basecard. Then I selected a muted print from the Softly Stippled 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper and colored it using a Large Blending Brush and Old Old Olive Ink.
To finish the card, I die cut round sentiment labels using another die from the Everyday Details Die set. I used a sentiment from the Everyday Details Stamp Set to stamp a sentiment in Copper Clay ink onto the sentiment labels. Then I added Adhesive-backed Cork Rounds as accents to the center of the largest flower and elsewhere on the cards. I added a Lemon Lolly twine bow from the Baker's Twine Three Color Pack as a final accent. This card will certainly brighten someone's day, and you'll love customizing your designer series papers to create just the right card for any special occasion.
