A Golden Christmas Card using Perfectly Plaid and the Pine Tree Punch

  • Stampin' Up! Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set
  • A Gold Foil and Gold Embossed Christmas Card
  • Giant Year End Sale and Clearance Rack Sale Continues
I'm in full Christmas Card creation mode and using so many of the fun items.  One of my favorite stamp and punch sets is the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and the coordinating Pine Tree Punch.  A Christmas Card just seems so much more special when you add Gold Foil and Gold Embossing to the card.  That's just what I did to the card I created today.  I also used the So Many Snowflakes Dies to add a beautiful Gold Foil snowflake along with the embossed pine trees.  'Tis the season for plaid as well, and I'm using one of the beautiful plaids from the Plaid Tidings 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper.  Sparkly cards make my eyes happy!

The basecard is Thick Very Vanilla cardstock.  Then a layer of Gold Foil Sheets on the top portion of the card, and a layer of Plaid Tidings 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper on the bottom portion.  Then I die cut a snowflake from So Many Snowflakes out of Gold Foil as well as a Gold Foil circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies and added them to the card front.  The Gold Foil Stitched Circle is popped up on Dimensionals.

I selected one of the Pine Tree stamps from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and used Versamark Ink to stamp it onto the Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce Cardstock.  Then I covered it with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and set it with my Heat Tool.  I punched 3 Pine Trees using the Pine Tree Punch and layered them on top of the Stitched Gold Foil Circle. I also het embossed one of the sentiments from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set in Gold Embossing Powder onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and popped it up on Dimensionals.  To add a little bling, I added Gold 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon and several Gold Metallic Pearls.

Christmas Card using Christmas Gleaming from the Brightly Gleaming Suite

  • Stampin' Up! Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set
  • Brightly Gleaming Suite from Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog
  • Bye Bye Christmas Card Classes

Christmas Card using Christmas Gleaming

Today's card is CASED directly from page 31 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  I think this card is one of the reasons that Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set and the entire Brightly Gleaming Suite was one of the first suites I added to my Shopping List back in August when the Holiday catalog was released.  I usually like to look at the catalog on-line so that I can increase the size of the sample cards.  The catalog photos are usually too small to do these wonderful samples from the Stampin' Up! home office justice.

Today's card uses a basecard of Mossy Meadow.  Then a layer of Gold Foil Sheets dry embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder, which is also part of the Brightly Gleaming Suite on page 31 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

I then die cut a Stitched Nested Label out of Whisper White and stamped the "jolly" sentiment from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  On additional pieces of Whisper White, I stamped the leaves from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment in Mossy Meadow.  I colored the leaves with Light Mossy Meadow Blends Markers.  The berries I colored with Light Cajun Craze Blends Markers.  I hand cut the leaves and berries, and the Merry Christmas sentiment. I also used a print from the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper in this layout.

This card goes together quickly except for the fussy-cutting needed on the leaves and berries.  You'll love the look of this finished card, and Your friends will be impressed when they receive this beautiful card.  You'll love everything you make with the Brightly Gleaming Suite.

Bye Bye Christmas Card Classes

These two classes will be my final two Christmas Card classes.  With the busy Holidays approaching, there are many activities competing for my time.  I'm hoping to get one or two classes in during December, where I'm hoping to highlight New Year's cards and Holiday crafts.  As a Stampin' Up! demonstrators, we're already looking forward to 2020 and the fun, new stamp sets we'll have for the rest of Winter, including Valentines Day, and then our Spring sets and new catalog.  We need to create our samples so you have enough time to see these new Stamps and coordinating products when the new year arrives.  You're likely to begin seeing sneak peeks from the new catalogs within the next couple of weeks!

Join one these upcoming classes, to finish out your holiday card-making needs.
