Stampin' Up! New Catalog coming June 3

We're just day's away from the New Annual Catalog Release.  If you're a customer of mine, you've probably received your new catalog and can't wait for new catalog ordering to begin.

You'll be excited to learn Stampin' Up! is adding additional fulfillment center staff to speed your new order to you, but the Corona Virus has already been causing slower deliveries. Stampin' Up! has already given us a heads up on two fronts (1) orders during the Demonstrator preorders are ahead of forecasts.  I guess with everyone at home, we've all had more time to play in our craft rooms, as we send more cheerful cards to friends and family. (2) Stampin' Up! suppliers in both China and the USA are behind in fulfilling orders to Stampin' Up!.  Stampin' Up! factories in China are up and running, but Stampin' Up! is competing for Air Freight slots with many other companies that are behind due to the Corona Virus.  In the USA, paper and ink factories as well as Stampin' Up! Rubber Stamp manufacturing operations are seeing delays as operations are required to maintain social distancing, which often means only half the staff can work at any time.  Bottom line:  To avoid disappointment when ordering from the new catalog, placing your orders early is essential.  Ordering will open at 1:00 PM Central on June 3.  Mark your calendar, and set an alarm so you're ready to go when ordering begins.

Introducing new In Colors

Every year Stampin' Up! introduces 5 new colors to the Stampin' Up! colors to keep them up-to-date with fashion and home goods trends.  These are the new In Colors for the next two years.  These colors are available in ink pads, re-inkers, cardstock, designer series papers, Stampin' Write Markers, and in alcohol-based Stampin' Blends Markers.

This year's colors, shown on the bookmarks above, from top to bottom are:  Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Bumble Bee, Magenta Madness, and Misty Moonlight.  I'm already looking forward to using Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade and Bumble Bee for fall projects.

Butterfly card using Stampin' Up! Positive Thoughts Stamp set

Butterfly Card: Springtime Impressions Dies

Wow.  What a fun, crazy day.  Since we've all been home for 3 or 4 days, suddenly everyone is reaching out to each other:  my family, my husband's family, friends, neighbors, customers, stamping friends.  Everyone wanted to "check in" today.  Facetime, text messages, mailed cards, Facebook Live.  At one point I was texting with 8 people at the same time!  And between contacts I was listening to on-line Social Media Marketing Classes that I thought would be a great way to spend extra time until I can begin holding live classes again.  Needless to say I didn't spend any time in my craft room today.  So I'm going to show you one of the cards I made at a recent shoe box swap.  The card was designed by my friend Carol Cory here in Houston, TX, and she also hosted the shoe box swap.  (Thanks, Carole!  We had so much fun!)

I really like this card because it uses stamp sets and dies that I have on hand from the annual catalog as well as some of my newer January-July 2020 Mini sets.

The basecard for today's card is Blackberry Bliss.  Then a Whisper White layer stamped with images from the Positive Thoughts Stamp set using Sahara Sand and Blackberry Bliss ink.

The butterfly is created using the Springtime Impressions Dies.  Cut one in Sahara Sand and the other from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock.  Its mounted on a image layer of Whisper White and matted in Blackberry Bliss.

The sentiment is from the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set and stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.  Below the sentiment is a die cut from the Flourish Dies from Sahara Sand Cardstock.  The accents on the butterfly are Metallic Pearls and a Pearl Basic Jewels colored with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Marker.

Below is a close-up of the two layers of the butterfly die.  The Blackberry Bliss Cardstock sets off the Sahara Sand cardstock beautifully.   If you don't have these exact dies and stamps, look through your existing sets and you're sure to find a floral set and butterfly dies you could use with minor changes to the card layout.

This is the perfect time to use your current stash of craft supplies as you spend some time in your Happy Stampin' Place.  Make a list of  friends, neighbors, and family that need a note of cheer, a friendly hello, or a note of appreciation to help them pass the time.  Our brave delivery service workers like our UPS drivers, and our mail person are helping to keep us connected.  Let's make a card to thank them for the great service they provide.  A handmade card from you would likely be highly appreciated during trying times.

If you don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the January-June 2020 Mini catalogcontact me.   I would love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Note:   Stampin' Up! Riverton Utah office experiences 5.7 magnitude earthquake yesterday morning

Yesterday morning Stampin' Up! experienced a 5.7 magnitude earthquake and several aftershocks in Utah, which shook the Riverton office.  Employees were unharmed and the office appears undamaged at this point.  All Riverton campus employees were sent home yesterday as a safety precaution.  Support lines were also closed for the remainder of yesterday.  The good news is that today the Riverton campus was back to normal.  We apologize for any inconvenience this caused customers waiting for orders or for processing exchanges.
