Masculine Birthday Card using Stampin' Up! Beautiful World Stamp Set

  • Stampin' Up! Beautiful World Stamp Set
  • World of Good Suite  for masculine cards
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine release is set for September 1, 2020

Stampin' Up! Beautiful World Stamp Set

You'll love the Stampin' Up! World of Good Suite with the Beautiful World Stamp Set when you need a masculine graduation card,  a Congratulations-on-the-New Job card, or a Birthday Card.  Today I reworked an earlier card I created when the Beautiful World Stamp Set was first released as part of the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  I needed a Birthday card for my brother, and the only part of the card I needed to change was the sentiment.  So, I used the Beautiful World Stamp Set and the coordinating World Maps Dies along with the new Cinnamon Cider map print from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper to create my card.  I used the World Maps Dies to cut a Brass Foil Sheet overlay for a circle of Cinnamon Cider.  I stamped and die cut other images from this set, and used Blends to color a coordinating ribbon.  You'll want to make several of these cards so you have the on hand for occasions throughout the year.

Masculine Birthday Card using a globe compass and feather ink pen

The basecard for this card is Basic Black.  Then I selected one of the prints from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The image layer has a mat of Basic Black and the images are mounted on Very Vanilla.

I die cut the globe stand out of Early Espresso using the World Map Dies.  I love that the die gives the edges of the die cut an embossed finished  so it isn't just a flat die cut   I also used the dies to cut the Cinnamon Cider circle and then used another die from the set to die cut a sheet of Brass Foil to create the open map overlay.  The dies also cut the feather, which I popped up on Dimensionals.

I used additional stamps from the Beautiful world Stamp Set for the rest of the images, stamping them in either Misty Moonlight or Cinnamon Cider -- both new In Colors for 2020-2022.

I added a ribbon that I created from 3/8" Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon and Light Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends.  I love how fast the ribbon dries when using our alcohol-based Blends to change the ribbon color to match my card.  I love the extra touch the gold edge ribbon added, complimenting the World Map Die Cut. You'll be proud to send someone special cards made using this lovely suite.  Add it to your shopping list today.

Masculine Birthday card using Epic Celebrations from Stampin' Up!

Epic Celebrations stamp set

I needed a card for my brother's upcoming birthday, and I wanted something other than my typical flowers and fussy ribbons.  This card sat on my work surface cut but not assembled for several days.  I tried several different combinations until I finally settled on the Marina Mist and Crumb Cake combinations.  I had almost tossed it out, but I kept playing with the layout until these pieces came together.  I'm finally happy with how this turned out!

I used a basecard of Marina Mist, then a very thin layer of Crumb Cake, and then the letters are cut out of a piece of Colory Theory Designer Series Paper.

The word, "DUDE" is cut out using the Large Letters Thinlits Dies.  The letters are then popped up on Foam Adhesive Strips.

The sentiment is from the Epic Celebrations free Sale-A-Bration  stamp set.  It's stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Crumb Cake and then punched out with a 1-1/4" circle punch.  It's attached to a small piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon with Glue Dots.
