Masculine Birthday Card using Stampin' Up! Beautiful World Stamp Set

  • Stampin' Up! Beautiful World Stamp Set
  • World of Good Suite  for masculine cards
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine release is set for September 1, 2020

Stampin' Up! Beautiful World Stamp Set

You'll love the Stampin' Up! World of Good Suite with the Beautiful World Stamp Set when you need a masculine graduation card,  a Congratulations-on-the-New Job card, or a Birthday Card.  Today I reworked an earlier card I created when the Beautiful World Stamp Set was first released as part of the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  I needed a Birthday card for my brother, and the only part of the card I needed to change was the sentiment.  So, I used the Beautiful World Stamp Set and the coordinating World Maps Dies along with the new Cinnamon Cider map print from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper to create my card.  I used the World Maps Dies to cut a Brass Foil Sheet overlay for a circle of Cinnamon Cider.  I stamped and die cut other images from this set, and used Blends to color a coordinating ribbon.  You'll want to make several of these cards so you have the on hand for occasions throughout the year.

Masculine Birthday Card using a globe compass and feather ink pen

The basecard for this card is Basic Black.  Then I selected one of the prints from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The image layer has a mat of Basic Black and the images are mounted on Very Vanilla.

Map-themed Masculine Birthday Card using die cuts and stamped images

I die cut the globe stand out of Early Espresso using the World Map Dies.  I love that the die gives the edges of the die cut an embossed finished  so it isn't just a flat die cut   I also used the dies to cut the Cinnamon Cider circle and then used another die from the set to die cut a sheet of Brass Foil to create the open map overlay.  The dies also cut the feather, which I popped up on Dimensionals.

I used additional stamps from the Beautiful world Stamp Set for the rest of the images, stamping them in either Misty Moonlight or Cinnamon Cider -- both new In Colors for 2020-2022.

I added a ribbon that I created from 3/8" Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon and Light Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends.  I love how fast the ribbon dries when using our alcohol-based Blends to change the ribbon color to match my card.  I love the extra touch the gold edge ribbon added, complimenting the World Map Die Cut. You'll be proud to send someone special cards made using this lovely suite.  Add it to your shopping list today.

  • An Extra Month to Create Holiday Cards - new catalog coming!
  • Earn $5 coupon codes for each $50 you spend in July

Stampin' Up! Pampered Pets

The card I'm showing you today is a fun-fold card called a pop-up card or a shelf card that lays flat for mailing in a regular greeting card envelope, and sits upright for display.  I'm using the Pampered Pets bundle, which includes the Pampered Pets Stamp Set and the coordinating Pets Dies.  You'll find the bundle on pp. 42 of the annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  The bundle is part of the Playful Pets Suite, which includes the Playful Pets Designer Series Paper.  I used this designer series paper as the background for this card. I wanted the sassy kitty to have a more complete scene so I added the basket from the Basket of Blooms stamp set, and used a die from the Way to Goat set to add a shadow under the basket. I think the card works well for many different occasions, and you'll see that one card has a get well message from Healing Hugs, and the other has a Thinking of You Message from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.  I also created a Whisper White panel for the back of the card for writing a personal message.  This fun fold card is very popular right now, and I want to thank Anne from Stampin' Anne for the inspiration for this card.

  • The basecard for this card is Flirty Flamingo.  The basecard dimensions are 4-1/4" X 10-1/2".  It is scored at 1/2" 1-3/4", 3-3/4" and 5" using the Simply Scored tool
  • The Basic Black mat on the back panel is 4" X 3-7/8", and
  • the Playful Pets Designer Series Paper is 3-7/8 X 3-3/4".  You'll need to pay attention to the direction you are cutting your DSP.
  • The Basic Black mat on the front panel is 4" X 1-7/8",
  • The Playful Pets Designer Series Paper is 3-7/8" X 1-3/4".  Again, you'll want to pay attention to the direction of your print.  Ensure your patterned paper is horizontal on the longest side.

  • The image panel (front panel) is also Flirty Flamingo.  It is 3" x 5-1/2", and
  • scored at 1/2" and 1-1/2" using the Simply Scored tool.
  • The Basic Black Mat is 4" X 3-7/8", and
  • The Whisper White panel is 3-7/8 X 3-3/4"
  • Crease all folds with a bone folder before and after assembly
  • Attach the folds using Tear & Tape for a secure hold, or try the new Seal+

The sassy kitty is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Light Smoky Slate Blends and Light Petal Pink ears.

The basket is stamped in Real Red.  I stamped it on a separate piece of Whisper White and fussy cut it so that I could cut off the handle of the basket.  The little shadow under the basket is from the Way to Goat Stamp Set.  I tried stamping it just once on one card, but found that stamping it twice gave it a more realistic look.
.

The sentiments are different on each card  One is from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set, and the other is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.  The sentiments are stamped in Basic Gray ink.   The two little hearts is a stamp from the Pampered Pets Stamp Set, and they are stamped in Real Red.  I added one of the Clear elegant Faceted Gems for a little sparkle.   You'll want to see the entire Playful Pets Suite on pages 40-42 of the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  You'll love creating projects with this suite, and your friends and family will enjoy feeling special when they receive one of your heartfelt, handmade cards.  Add this suite to your Shopping List today.
