Stampin' Up! Beautiful Moments

You're going to be so inspired when you use the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Moments Stamp Set from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.  The set was a collaboration between a Demonstrator from Auckland NZ and the wonderful designers from the Stampin Up! home office in Utah, when Demonstrator Jacque Willams reached $1,000,000 in Stampin' Up! sales.

The images in the stamp set are based on her and her three daughters, and her love of new Zealand.   You"ll find the images perfect for granddaughters, cousins, nieces or daughters.   This stamp set would work for a Birthday card, Mother's Day Card, Sympathy Card or a Thinking-of-You card.  The set includes a beach scene, a mountain, and a field of flowers.  It includes more flowers, birds, and butterflies to fill out a scene.  It's a great set to use with different coloring techniques such as Watercolor Pencils, Stamp Pad ink and Aqua Painters, Stampin' Markers and alcohol-based Stampin' Blends Markers.  The set also pairs well with the A Good Man Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog, which includes masculine images in the same style as the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set.

Today's card uses a variety of coloring techniques on the main image.  I used both Stampin' Blends and ink pads with an Aqua Painter.  For the grass I used both Light Granny Apply Green and Light Old Olive Blends.  For the sky, I used Balmy Blue ink pad with an Aqua painter.  For the girl's dress and the butterfly, I used a Calypso Coral ink pad with an Aqua Painter.  I used a Light Crumb Cake Blends Marker on her hair, A Light Highland Heather Blends Maker on the flower and a Light Petal Pink Blends Marker on her arms.  I probably should have used Water Color Paper. bit I hadn't decided to use ink pads and Aqua Painter until after I stamped my image on regular Whisper White Cardstock.  It worked fine, as long as you use a light touch with your Aqua Painter.  If you go over the cardstock with your Aqua Painter too much, your cardstock will begin to get bumpy.

The card base for this card is Thick Whisper White.  Then a layer of Petal Pink. Then I used a piece of Petal Pink Vellum Cardstock from the Perennial Essence 12" X 12" Vellum Cardstock Pack and dry embossed it using the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I added a piece of Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon.  The next two layers are die cut using the scalloped Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  The sentiment us stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a Whisper White die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
