Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Stamp Set

This was such a fun card to create!  I love the release of a new catalog and the excitement of trying all of the new playthings Stampin' Up! creates for our joy.  Today's I broke out the new Detailed Hearts Die to create this Valentine or Anniversary Card.  I looked at the calendar and realized that we're only 5 weeks (just 38 days!) away from Valentine's Day, and I need to start making my cards. I could have created a watercolor background under the Detailed Hearts Die, but I realized that I had the Artisan Textures Stamp Set that I hadn't yet used, and this looks like the perfect opportunity.  Also, I was thinking ahead to holding a class including this card, and while you could easily create a watercolor background, I felt the Artisan Texture Stamp would create a more consistent background.

The basecard is Thick Whisper White.  Then another layer of Whisper White.  I stamped off Flirty Flamingo ink and stamped the largest image in the Artisan Textures Stamp Set to create a textured background on the Whisper White layer.

I cut another piece of Whisper White using the Detailed Hearts Die.  This single die creates both hearts.  I grabbed my silicon mat and a sponge and added glue to a sponge.  I turned my Detailed Hearts to the backside on top of my Silicon Mat, and used the Stampin' Sponge to dab glue onto the back of my Detailed Hearts.  I could have also used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen, but decided in the interest of time that sponging glue would be faster.   When I finished, I cleaned my Silicon Mat by running it under warm water and rolling off the glue with a paper towel.

I then created a bow out of Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and added it to my card.  I selected the Stitched Be Mine Dies and used the die that cuts both these hearts at the same time.  I cut them out of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

To complete my card, I selected a sentiment from the Heartfelt Stamp Set, inked it with Versamark, and covered it with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  After setting the Embossing Powder with my Heat Tool, I popped it up on Dimensionals and added it to the front of my card.

I love the soft, airy look of this card.  You'll want to take a look at the entire From My Heart Suite on page 8-10 and the Heart To Heart Bundle on page 12 in the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.  I appreciate that Stampin' Up! gives us items that coordinate across different stamp sets and different suites.    You'll Love What YOU Make with this suite.  If you don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the new, January - June 2020 Mini catalogcontact me.   I would love to be your Stampin' Up! "Just get me my new catalog order!", I whisper to no-one under my breath.  I straighten my craft room--a little...well, very little-- and, desperately check the progress of my Stampin' Up! shipment with UPS.

When it arrives, I feel light and smiley and too full of excitement as I know I'm going to enjoy every minute unboxing and using my new items.  Every stamp set is the beginning of a new journey, and my heart races.  My craft room claims me as I immerse myself in a temporary feeling of bliss.
