Polished Pink and Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper create beautiful Birthday Cards

With a new catalog on the horizon (May 2023), I'm anxious to play with all of my favorites in the current catalogs.  Today I'm using the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and the Artistic Dies, again, and a card layout by Heather Thomas from the Songbird Stamper from the UK.  I just love everything about this card.  The bright colors, the sophisticated assortment of die cuts, and the gold accents.  I used a color theme of Polished Pink, Basic White, and Gold plus the floral designs from the Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the gold veins running through this paper. This paper is retired, but you can create your own versions using the stamps from Artistically Inked Stamp Set.  I used the coordinating Artistic Dies and also Dies from Brilliant Wings, Something Fancy, and Flowers of Home.  Four different die sets that all worked well together!  I also used a birthday sentiment from Flowering Tulips, although Artistically Inked also includes a number of useful sentiments.  I also used Gilded Gems (retired) however, if you don't have these in your stash you could use Gold Sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Gold Festive Pearls, or Gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots from our current catalogs.

 

The basecard for today's card is Polished Pink Cardstock.  Then I used a Basic White Layer.  On the Basic White layer, I layered a banner of  Polished Pink and Expressions in Ink 12" X 12"  Specialty Designer Series Paper.  

 

Next, I added a Basic White floral die cut from the Artistic Dies, I stamped off leaves of Polished Pink using the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and the Artistic Dies.  I added Gold Foil leaves using the Artistic Dies, and Gold foil small flowers using the Flowers of Home Dies and Gold Foil Sheets.  I also die cut a Gold Foil butterfly using the Brilliant Wings Dies, and added it to the corner of the card. 

 

To finish my card, I die cut a sentiment label of Basic White using the Something Fancy Dies.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Flowering Tulips Stamp Set using Polished Pink Ink, and mounted the label on Dimensionals before adding it to my card font.  Then I added a few Gold Gilded Gems accents.

Get ready for Fresh New Colors; Say Goodbye to 2021-2023 In Colors 

Its that time of the year when Stampin' Up! refreshes the color line adding several new colors to keep the product line fresh.  Additionally, the 2021-2023 In Colors -- Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Pale Papaya -- will retire unless one or more are kept as part of the color refresh.  Demonstrators will hear about the refreshed color collection on 29 March.  That means customers will hear the details shortly thereafter.
