Another Stampin' Up! Wishes & Wonder Christmas Card

  • Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set
  • North Pole Wonder Dies
  • 2 Days Remain for Get & Go Starter Kit Promotion - End September 30, 2020

I'm still working with the Wishes & Wonder Stamp Set.  Todays card uses the deer from the North Pole Wonder Dies along with snowflakes from the Christmas Layers Dies.  I also silver embossed one of the Square Vellum Doilies with Silver Embossing Powder and used a sentiment from the Snowflake wishes Stamp set.

The basecard for this card is Thick Whisper White.  Then a layer of Cherry Cobbler layer.  The image layer is Whisper White.

I used the snowflake die from the Christmas Layers Dies and Die cut snowflakes out of Whisper White.  I turned a Square Vellum Doilies silver by covering it with Versamark, covering it with Silver Embossing Powder, and set it using my heat tool.  I trimmed sections of the Silver embossed doily so that it fit behind the banners.

Two Christmas Cards using snowflake and deer die cuts with three banners

I created three banners.  One in Whisper White, which I stamped with a sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set.  One in Cherry Cobbler.  And a third banner from one of the prints from the  6" X 6" Neutrals Designer Series Paper in Smoky Slate.  Then,  die cut one of the deer from the North Pole wonder Dies from another print from the 6" X 6" Regals Designer Series Paper in Cherry Cobbler.  The deer is mounted on dimensionals before adding it to the card front.  Below are the Stampin' Up! items used to create this Christmas Cards.

For the past few days I've been playing with the the detail in the deer die from the North Pole wonder Dies.  I love how this die cuts so cleanly, even the detailed antlers.  You'll enjoy creating your own unique cards using elements from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog or the August - December 2020 Mini catalog.  Check the Recipe below for items used to create today's  beautiful card.   Add these stamp sets and products to your Shopping List today.

Christmas Cards using Stampin' Up! Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set

  • Stampin' Up! Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set
  • Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set
  • Learn to Use the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
I love the Christmas Blessings sentiment from the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set.  I decided to highlight it on the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper.  I found a die in the Hippo & Friends set that fit the sentiment, but it looked a little plain.  I used one of the additional elements from Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set and a selection of small stars from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set to give more elements to the sentiment layer.  The sentiment still looked lost until I fussy cut a Garden Green mat behind the Very Vanilla sentiment.  I love how it turned out.

Handmade Christmas card with Garden Green print Designer Series Paper

The basecard for this card is Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Then a layer of Garden Green.  Then a layer of Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper, a carry over from last season, and one of my favorites from last year.

Christmas Card with Christmas Blessing sentiment

Then I used one of the largest dies from the Hippo & Friends Dies to cut a Very Vanilla sentiment label to fit the Christmas Blessings sentiment from the Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set. It would have been easy to select a Stitched Rectangle Die Cut, but I wanted something a little different   I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green Ink.  Then I added an additional elements from the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set on the top and bottom of the sentiment label.  It still looked a little bare, so I selected the smallest set of stars from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and also stamped it in Garden Green Ink twice on the label.

Two handmade Christmas Cards with Garden Green Printed Paper

I thought the plain Very Vanilla label still looked lost on the front of the card, so I fussy cut a thin Garden Green mat around the sentiment label and it seemed to set it off perfectly.  To finish the card I tied a bow out of Gold 3/8" Metallic edge Ribbon and added it behind the sentiment, with the bow to the right of the sentiment.
