Christmas Cards using Stampin' Up! Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set

I love the Christmas Blessings sentiment from the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set.  I decided to highlight it on the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper.  I found a die in the Hippo & Friends set that fit the sentiment, but it looked a little plain.  I used one of the additional elements from Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set and a selection of small stars from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set to give more elements to the sentiment layer.  The sentiment still looked lost until I fussy cut a Garden Green mat behind the Very Vanilla sentiment.  I love how it turned out.

The basecard for this card is Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Then a layer of Garden Green.  Then a layer of Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper, a carry over from last season, and one of my favorites from last year.

Christmas Card with Christmas Blessing sentiment

Then I used one of the largest dies from the Hippo & Friends Dies to cut a Very Vanilla sentiment label to fit the Christmas Blessings sentiment from the Wrapped In Christmas Stamp Set. It would have been easy to select a Stitched Rectangle Die Cut, but I wanted something a little different   I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green Ink.  Then I added an additional elements from the Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set on the top and bottom of the sentiment label.  It still looked a little bare, so I selected the smallest set of stars from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and also stamped it in Garden Green Ink twice on the label.

I thought the plain Very Vanilla label still looked lost on the front of the card, so I fussy cut a thin Garden Green mat around the sentiment label and it seemed to set it off perfectly.  To finish the card I tied a bow out of Gold 3/8" Metallic edge Ribbon and added it behind the sentiment, with the bow to the right of the sentiment.
