Stampin' Up! Peaceful Moments & Poppy Moments Dies

Two of the bundles that will carry over to the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog, releasing June 3, are the Peaceful Moments Bundle and Dressed to Impress Bundle.  Today I'm using both on the cards I created for Mother's Day.  Inspiration for this card came from the samples printed in the new June Annual catalog.  I received my copy in the mail today, as did many other demonstrators, and when I came across this card design in the catalog, I had to give it my own twist.  This isn't your typical fast, easy card.  It takes time to die cut all of the Poppies and Leaves in the Poppy Moments Dies.  But the end result is so worth it!  I love how the tone on tone die cuts give the card additional texture!.  If either of the Peaceful Moments Bundle or the Dressed to Impress Bundle are on your shopping list, you'll want to pick them up on or before June 2 to get the 10% savings when purchasing them as a bundle.  The bundle pricing goes away in the new catalog, although you'll be able to purchase these sets as individual items, without the bundle discount. If there are other bundles you've had your eye on, be sure to purchase them before the release of the new annual catalog. It's all in the Retiring Products information I posted in my recent post.  Order your favorites before they are gone.

The basecard for today's card is Crumb Cake.  Then several of the Poppy Moments Dies are used to die cut more Crumb Cake poppy images and leaf images to layer on the Crumb Cake base card.  Then I used more of the dies from the Poppy Moments Dies to create leaves in Mossy Meadow, buds using Pear Pizzazz and Flirty Flamingo, and Poppies in Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo. I used Multipurpose Glue to adhere all of these images, however, I do recommend that you place your items on a Silicone Craft Sheet when apply glue.  That way, images won't stick to your scrap paper while applying glue.   Simply use a baby wipe or soap and water to clean excess glue off your Silicone Craft Sheet.

The sentiments I used are from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set and the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set.  I stamped the sentiments on Whisper White cardstock using Soft Suede ink.  I layered them over a piece of Rococo Rose 1/2 Scalloped Linen Ribbon.  I used the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Marker to change the scalloped edging from Rococo Rose to Flirty Flamingo to match my card.

I think the Poppies Moments is a versatile set you'll want in your stash.  You'll find it's a beautiful set to use for many different occasions.  It's a great time to keep stampin' as we think of others who would love to know you're thinking of them.  Sending handmade cards is a special way to stay in touch when you can't be with distant loved ones, and your cards will be greatly appreciated during these times.

The new Annual Stampin' Up catalogs will be available to customers June 2, and I've  submitted my list to Stampin' Up! to have catalogs sent directly to my customers who have purchased within the past 6 months.  They will receive their new catalogs mid- to late-May and can begin placing orders June 3.  If you don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the upcoming Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, contact me.   I would love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Stampin' Up! Wonderful Moments Stamp Set

Getting ready for a new catalog is always sad.  It's so hard to see your favorite stamp sets retire.  Stampin' Up! Wonderful Moments is one of the stamp sets that will Retire June 2.   I also used the Hold On to Hope Stamp set for today's card, which is also retiring.  If these are sets you've had on your Shopping List or Wish List for a while, be sure to pick them up before June 2.  They make lovely cards, and you'll find yourself using them over and over.  Hold On To Hope is particularly relevant right now.  See my Retiring List post for a full run down on stamps products retiring on May 3 as well as bundles retiring and products being reconfigured. It's all in the Retiring Products information I posted in my recent post.  Order your favorites before they are gone.

The basecard for today's card is Old Olive.  Then a layer of Mossy Meadow, and one of Melon Mambo.  Then the image layer is stamped on a layer of Blushing Bride die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

The image is stamped in Rich Razzleberry.  The leaves are stamped in Old Olive and die cut using one of the dies from Cross Of Hope Dies.  The Flowers were stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink and die cut with one of the dies from Cross of Hope.  The word Bride is die cut using the Well Written Dies from Melon Mambo Cardstock.  Then it is covered with Shimmery Crystal Effect to give it more texture.   I used a Metallic Pearl colored with a Dark Rich Razzleberry Blends Marker to dot the "i" in "bride." You'll find all of the items that will retire June 2 in the Last-Chance-Products section on my online store.  This is the most up-to-date listing, as sold out items are removed as soon as they are gone. You'll also find some items have already been reduced.  Take a look and scoop up your favorites before they're gone.

I know its hard to imagine we'll have weddings and showers and birthday parties with many of our friends and family any time soon, but I'm using this time to make cards I know I'll have a use for in the future.  I find stamping inspirational, plus stamping has been a stress reliever during this challenging time.  Let's keep stampin' as we think of others who would love to know you're thinking of them.  Sending handmade cards is a great way to stay in touch when you can't be with distant loved ones, and your cards will be greatly appreciated during these times.

The new Annual Stampin' Up catalogs will be available to customers June 2, but I've  submitted my list to Stampin' Up! to have catalogs sent directly to my customers who have purchased within the past 6 months.  They will receive their new catalogs id - to late-May and can begin placing orders June 5.  If you don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the upcoming Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, contact me.   I would love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
