Chic, sophisticated greeting cards using the Earthen Elegance Suite from Stampin' Up!

If ever there was a "sleeper" in the Stampin' Up! catalog, it has to be the Earthen Elegance Suite on pages 70-71 of the catalog.  The Earthen Textures Stamp Set and Earthen Textures Dies give you sophisticated elements so you can build chic cards and projects.  I used the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper, along with Gold Foil Sheets to create beautiful earthy florals in pottery vases.  I used a color combination of Pecan Pie with Very Vanilla, which complimented the colors in the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper.  I used Gold Foil Sheets for the large palm fan with accordion folds, and one of the leaves.  I used three different prints from the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper to create the wide strip and the pottery vases.  I stamped one of the floras from the Earthen Textures Stamp Set onto Very Vanilla Cardstock using Pecan Pie ink, and then die cut it using one of the dies in the Earthen Textures Dies.  After die cutting the larger vase from one of the Designer Series Papers, I wrapped it 3 times with the Natural 1/4" Wavy Trim.  Then I added a couple of the Brown sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive Backed sequins pack.  I can't wait to make more projects with this suite.

The basecard for today's card is Pecan Pie Cardstock, fast becoming one of my favorite new colors.  Then a layer of Very Vanilla dry embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I added a strip of one of the prints from the Earthen Elegance 12" X 12" Design Series Paper.   . 

Then I began to build the floral arrangement I wanted for my card.  I used the Earthen Textures Dies and die cut the two vases out of two different prints from the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper.  Then I used Gold Foil Sheets and die cut the fan and the fern.  The fan is scored allowing you to create folds adding depth to your card.  I used the Natural 1/4" Way Trim to wrap the taller vase three times.  I stamped in Pecan Pie ink, and die cut one of the three florals in the Earthen Textures Stamp Set and used the coordinating dies to die cut it.  

To finish my card, I die cut a sentiment label using one of the dies in the Stylish Shapes Dies.   I stamped one of the sentiment from Earthen Textures Stamp Set in Pecan Pie ink, popped it up on Dimensionals and added it to my card. Then I used two of the Brown sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins Pack.
