What do you do while you're waiting for your new catalog order to arrive? I'm playing with one of the Stamping' Up! bundles - Crafting with You--that Demonstrators were able to preorder, and using one of the new Core Colors -- Berry Burst--one of the returning colors that I've always loved. My card today uses a color theme of Basic White, and Berry Burst, with some Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Silver Foil Sheets as die cut elements. The elements in this bundle are just darling. You can create realistic looking paper trimmers, scissors, rulers, paint brush assortments, and so much more. It includes elements for not only paper crafting, but also sewing, painting, and knitting. Stampin' Up! Design Team outdid themselves with this fun stamp set and coordinating dies. This is a set any crafter will want on their shelf. I used a Thick Basic White cardbase, then a layer of Berry Burst, and then a layer of a Designer Series Paper from the Dandy Design (retired) Designer Series Paper Pack. I used the Scalloped Contours Dies to create the image layer, and then used a corner of one of the Stampin' Up! Grid Paper for one of my layers. Then I created a Paper Snips die cut out of Basic Black and Silver Foil Paper, and a paper trimmer using another die from the Crafting with You Dies and Smoky Slate Cardstock. These dies have so much detail!! I die cut a tag using one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies, and stamped a sentiment from Crafting with You Stamp Set in Berry Burst Ink. I used some of the 1/8" Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon and a couple of Melon Mambo Dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment pack to finish my cards. Let your imagination run wild with this set and see what you create.
The basecard for today's card is Thick Basic White Cardstock. Then a layer Berry Burst Cardstock. Then a print from the retired Dandy Designs 12" X 12" Design Series Paper Pack that I'm using up before my new catalog order arrives.
I used the Scalloped Contours Dies and a corner of my Stampin' Up! Grid Paper to create a background for my dies cuts. I used the paper trimmer die and the Paper Snips Dies from the Crafting with You Dies. The Paper Snips has a mark for where the Basic Black Cardstock stops and the Silver Foil Sheet Begins. There is even a recessed area for the silver screw that holds the Paper Snips together. The Paper Trimmer has a Black blade, and the dies are die cut to allow you to add paper to your Paper Trimmer. This was so much fun to create.
I finished my card by die cutting a tag using the Tailor Made Tags Dies, and stamped one of the sentiments from the Crafting wWith You Stamp Set using Berry Burst Ink I added a 1/8" Sweet Sorbet Woven ribbon to the end of the tag along with adding a couple of Glossy Dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment pack as accents.
