It pays to keep a stash of older products.  I only need a Baby card about once ever 5 to 7 years, so although Stamping' Up! has very cute current baby stamp sets, I had nothing current when two of my nieces gave birth within days of Memorial Day weekend recently.  So, I reached back into my retired product stash and found two darling Stampin' Up! Stamp set that worked perfectly for my new baby cards.  You'll find several current Stamp Sets that work, as well.  Including Places in the Heart on page 73 and Sweet Precocious Stamp Set on page 83 of the Annual Catalog.   My color palette on this card is Petal Pink and Basic White, and I used a retired Designer Series Paper print from the Design a Daydream Host pack from last year's Annual Catalog.  I used the new Cornerside Corners Dies to create an image area on my card front, and some of the 1/8" Petal Pink Ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack from the current catalog.  The onesie stamped on the front was colored with Petal Pink Blends, and the sentiment and onesie was stamped in Tuxedo Back Memento ink, and the sentiment is from the Make with Love Stamp set.

Twist and Pop Card using Made with Love Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

The basecard for today's card is Petal Pink Cardstock.  Then a layer of a Petal Pink striped print from the retired Design a Daydream 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper Host gift from last year's annual catalog.  This pack had so many wonderful prints to work with that I still find myself reaching for these designs.  Then I used the Cornerstone Corners Dies to die cut a white layer to use as my image area.  I stamped the onesie from the Made with Love Stamp set and colored it with Petal Pink Blends  Then I stamped the sentiment from the same set in on a white background and matted it in Petal Pink Cardstock.

Baby Cad using Stampin' Up! Made with Love with a Twist & Pop Mechanism

On the inside of the card, I added a 4" X 5-1/4" layer to both the top and bottom of the card.  I used another Print from the Design a Daydream pack.  Make sure to add these layers before beginning the mechanism step.

Next, I cut a mechanism that would cause my card inside to pop out.  I cut the 3" X 8" mechanism base from Petal Pink, and scored it 1-1/2" along the long side, and marked it at 2-1/2" & 5-1/2".  I scored from one 2-1/2 mark along the top of the long side to the 5-1/2" mark along the bottom of the long side.  Then I scored from the 5-1/2" mark along the top side to the 2-1/2" mark along the bottom side.  This created a large "X" on the mechanism.  Then I scored all of the score line. I folded the mechanism into an "M with the point going up rather down" and glued the points of the mechanism to the top and bottom of the inside of the card base.

Then I created the image layer to cover my pop out mechanism.  I began by cutting a Petal Pink base of 3" X 10", and scored it along the long edge at 2-2/1 X 5" & 7-1/2".  Then if folded it into an M at the center.  I also cut 4 Basic White panels to add to the Petal Pink image base.  The 4 Basic white panels were 2-1/8" X 2-7/8".

I stamped images in Tuxedo black Memento ink from the Made with Love stamp Set and a couple from the A New Little Someone Stamp Set.  used the florals from the Stampin' up! darling Details Stamp and First stamped the inside of the florals using Fresh Freesia ink.  Then I used the outlines stamp of these florals and stamped them in Berry Burst Ink.  The leaves are also two-step stamps and I stamped both the inside and the veins in Granny Apply Green ink.  I used Dimensionals to pop ul the largest flower before adding it to the card.

Finally, I stamped the sentiments Adorable sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and added a die cut Petal Pink flower using the Wonderful Thoughts Dies onto the card base.  Now or old, Stampin' Up! products work well together, making this a sweet card layout for my two nieces.
