There is sooo much to explore in the Darling Details Dies set, I feel like I'm just getting started!  I decided to showcase some of the darling Details Dies by creating another Double Decker Pop Out Card.  I created this card using the Stampin' Up! Darling Details Stamp Set and the coordinating Darling Details Dies. In addition to the Darling Details Stamp Set, it uses Thick and regular Basic White, a piece of Pool Party for the second deck, and a layer of one of the prints from Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper.   I used the Darling Details Dies to create frames of White for my top deck and my middle deck.  I also used the Darling Dies to die cut the main floral on my card front.  Since Darling Details is a two-step stamp, I Stamped the flower interiors in Pool Party, and used the border stamp to stamp a Lost Lagoon outline for my main floral.  The stems are also two step stamps and I used Old Olive ink for the stems and leaves. To finish, I stamped sentiments from darling Details in Lost Lagoon ink and added a few Lost Lagoon gems from the Tinsel Gems Three- Pack.   I stamped the little flower in Lost Lagoon ink from Darling Details Stamp Set on the second deck on the Basic white layer.

The basecard for today's card is  a 5-1/2 X 8-1/2' Thick Basic White Cardstock, scored at 2-1/8, and 4-1/4 along the long side.  Fold and crease the 2-1/8 and 4-1/4" using your bone folder.  Then, for my top deck, I created a Basic White layer beginning with a 5" X 3-3/4" matte.  Then I used the largest of the darling Details Frame Die to create a border frame for my image.  This Basic White Cardstock frame is die cut from a 4-3/4 X 3-5/8" Basic White Cardstock, and then adhere this frame to the 5 X 3-3/4" Basic White layer.  Now you'll want to set this top deck layer aside, until you finish the basecard and middle deck layers.  Then you'll be ready to add your images and attach the top layer.

Now, add the 4 X 5-1/4" Designer Series Paper to the 3rd deck of the base card.  Then create and adhere the middle deck pop out mechanism for the inside of the card.  To make this pop out mechanism, I cut a Basic White piece of Cardstock that was 3" X 2-1/4", and scored it along the long side at 3/4", 1-1/2" and 2-1/4".  Next, I used my Bone Folder to crease the folds of the pop out mechanism.  I added Tear & Tape Adhesive to the two outer panels of the pop up mechanism, then positioned the opening along the fold line of the back panel, removed the Tear & Tape Adhesive backing, and stuck the two edges to the back and middle panels.

I then created the 3" X 4" Pool Party Cardstock Panel that forms the base for the middle deck of the pop out mechanism.  Next, I used the smaller frame die from the Darling Details Dies and created a Basic White 3-3/4 X 2-3/4" Basic White frame, which I glued to the Pool Party layer.  I also used the Basic White center from this die cut and added it back into the die cut border on the middle deck so I had a Basic White panel for a hand-written message.  (See first photo)  I then added Tear & Tape to the mechanism panel facing up and added the 3" X 4" Pool Party Cardstock Panel that forms the middle deck of the pop out mechanism.  I added Adhesive tape.  Before removing the protective covering from the Tear & Tape, I carefully aligned the Pool Party panel so it has an even border with the third deck.  Remove the adhesive tape backing and press your middle deck onto the pop out mechanism. You'll want to leave a very small gap instead of butting the Basic white deck, so the mechanism has room to move.

Finally, I stamped the images and sentiment on the top panel.  I used Pool Party ink for the interior flower, and then used the outline stamp to Stamp a Lost Lagoon border for the flowers.  For the leaves and stems, I used Old Olive.  I stamped off the Old Olive leaves and then stamped the veins full-strength Old Olive.  I stamped the sentiments from the Darling Details Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon ink, and added Lost Lagoon gems from the Tinsel Gems Three- Pack.  Then, I used Tear & Tape Adhesive along the left edge of the top deck layer to attach it to the card front, leaving the right size loose.  Position your top deck layer over your second deck layer before adhering, leaving an even boarder around the top deck.     Once you begin creating these Double Decker cards, you'll find they go together quickly and you'll enjoy the "wow" factor when your loved one opens this card.
