Creating cards with the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle

  • Celebrate Sunflowers
  • Shop bundles for extra savings and easy coordinating

Stampin' Up! Celebrate Sunflowers

Today I'm using the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set again.  I'm really surprised at how much I love this stamp set.  Stampin' Up! has had a number of sunflower stamp sets over the years, but this one captured my heart like no other Sunflower stamp set has before.  This is such a simple card, but I love how it turned out.  I saw this technique on one of Linda Delke's cards, and watched a video she posted on how to create this look.  It was easier than I though it would be!   I added a couple of Whisper White butterflies from the Butterfly Beauty Dies to dress up the card a bit.  I love Stamping' up bundles!  The Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set coordinates with the Sunflowers Dies.  This is one of the two bundles that are part of the Flowers for Every Season Suite.  Bundles help me create fantastic projects with less effort. And a product suites provides an array of coordinated products that work together for easy creating. .

The basecard for this card is Thick Whisper White.  Then a layer of Misty Moonlight Cardstock, one of the new In Colors.   The images from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set were stamped on the Misty Moonlight Cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink.

The technique for highlighting the sunflower petals with white is done by painting the petals lightly with Craft Whisper White ink applied using a Blender Pen.  I found that spreading the ink onto a clear block first allowed me to control ink coverage better.  One other tip I'll pass on to you:  The Whisper White ink fades as it dries  I thought I was adding the Whisper White Ink too heavily when I was painting the petals, however, looking at my finished card, I wish I had added more Craft Whisper White.  I'll know next time I try this technique.

For the sentiment, I used the stitched rectangle from the Ornate Layers Dies and cut a label out of Whisper White.  Each of the sentiments are also from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, and the sentiments are stamped in Misty Moonlight Ink.  I found these two butterflies near my die cutting machine and decided to use them as quick accents on these cards.  They are created by cutting apart a couple of the Butterfly Beauty Die Cuts.  I also added one of the Misty Moonlight Enamel Dots to each of the sentiments.   You'll want to look closely at the entire Flowers For Every Season Suite Collection on pages 10-13 of the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  You'll love creating projects with this suite, and your friends and family will enjoy feeling special when they receive one of your lovely, handmade cards.  Add this suite to your Shopping List today.

My customers who have ordered in the past 6 months will soon be receiving the August-December 2020 Mini catalog in their mailbox. Demonstrators are already placing pre-orders from the entire Mini catalog, and are busy making sample to share with you to see what's coming!   If you live in the USA and don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the new Stampin' Up! A Cheerful Sunflower using the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set

  • Another Celebrate Sunflowers card
  • Stampin' Up! Flowers For Every Season Suite with two stamp bundles
  • Get Ready For Bonus Days

Stampin' Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set

I love the way that different lighting showcases the texture from the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  I'm again using the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! Flowers For Every Season Suite.  After showing how lovely this stamped sunflower image looks on a monochromatic card, which I showed yesterday, I also wanted you to see how this image brightens up when color is added. I stamped the image outline in Saddle Brown Stazon Ink and then colored the sunflower with a variety of Stampin' Blends alcohol-based Markers. Both sentiments are from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set. The embossed background sets off the sunflower handsomely.

The basecard for this card is Crumb Cake.  Then a layer of Whisper White Cardstock.  Then another layer of Crumb Cake Cardstock dry embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

I stamped the large Sunflowers in Saddle Brown Stazon Ink and used the Sunflowers Dies to die cut it.  I colored the sunflower using Mango Melody, Cinnamon Cider and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends.  I also stamped and die cut two leaves from Whisper White Cardstock.  The leaves were stamped in Old Olive and then colored with Old Olive Stampin' Blends.

I folded a length of Whisper White Faux Linen ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and held it in place with Mini Glue Dots.  After die cutting and coloring the sunflower and leaves with Stampin' Blends, I placed the two leaves in place with Mini Glue Dots.  Then I popped the Sunflower up on Dimensionals and placed it over the ribbon.

The sentiment is also from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set.  I stamped it in Cinnamon Cider Ink and then fussy cut it so that more of the sunflower showed.  You can create stunning cards with just a few stamped images, a bit of ribbon and an embossing folder, and your friends and family will feel so special when they receive one of your lovely, charming, handmade cards.

Get Ready For Bonus Days

Yeah!  Stampin' Up!'s gave us some great news today:  Bonus Days is coming back next week, and that means it's almost time for you to start earning coupon codes to redeem in August.

Here's a refresher on this promotion:  For every $50 USD you spend 1 July-3 August 2020 (before shipping and tax), you earn a $5 USD Bonus Days coupon code that can be redeemed 4-31 August 2020.  Both customers and demonstrators can enjoy this bonus for shopping in July.

Now, you only need to decide if you want to earn the extra $25 in rewards for placing a $250 USD order (before shipping and tax) by 30 June, or wait until July 1 and earn a $5 USD Bonus Coupon for each $50 you spend and redeem when the new Holiday catalog is released in August.

For me?  I'm doing them both!!  I love the "instant" rewards this month when I'm still fulfilling my wish list from the new annual catalog.  And I know already that I'll be placing an order July 1 as well.  Why?  Because Demonstrators can place a preorder from the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog beginning July 1.  So I'll earn coupon bonuses to spend in August, once I've found my favorites from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog.  I love that Stampin' Up! is giving us so many ways to save while our incomes might be a little bit tight.  Just like the Pick a Free Bundle with the Starter Kit if you join my team as a demonstrator June 30.  Demonstrators get their 20-25% demonstrator discount on top of these savings!  Pick your best way to save, today!
