Birthday Card idea using Stampin' Up! Warm Welcome Stamp Set and Dies

  • Stampin' Up! Warm Welcome Stamp Set and Dies
  • Upcoming Paper Pumpkin Procrastinators Meetup - Oct 13, 2022
  • Join Stampin' Up! during October and get $155 in merchandise for $99
I wasn't done playing with the Warm Welcome Stamp Set following World Cardmaking Day.  I still had a number of kits cut that I hadn't assembled, so I quickly put together another version of the card layout we used for World Card Making Day.  I love the variety of occasions this set can be used for.  I decided to make these pieces into a birthday card.  I used a Fresh Freesia base card, then I added a layer Mint Macaron and finally my image layer is Basic White.  Then I stamped the door and door frame onto another piece of Basic White, stamped the flowers, cat and sentiment images in Tuxedo Black Ink, and used a combination of colored pencils and blends to color the images.   I added a little bling with a twine bow and Opal Rounds on the sentiment and used as a door handle.

Today's card uses a basecard of Fresh Freesia Cardstock.  Then I added a layer of Mint Macaron Cardstock.  Then my image layer is Basic White.

Next, I stamped the door frame in Mint Macaron ink on another piece of Basic White, and colored the door panels with Fresh Freesia and Mint Macaron ink pads and Blending Brushes.  When finished coloring, I used the Warm Welcome Dies to die cut the door frame.  I also stamped the cat and the arm with flower bouquet in Tuxedo Black  Memento Ink, colored both with a combination of Blends and Water Color Pencils, and then die cut them using the Warm Welcome Dies.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a piece of Mint Macaron, and cut tails into one end.  Then I created a Twine bow and used Glue Dots to attach it.  For a little bling, I used two Soft Succulent 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds on the edge of the sentiment, and as a door knob.

  • Greeting Card using Warm Welcome Stamp Set
  • Register for the FREE virtual October 1 World Card Making Day event
  • Or, Join us in NW Houston for a free watch party for World Card Making Day event
While preparing for World Cardmaking Day, 1 October, I couldn't wait to play with the new Warm Welcome Stamp Set.  This is a new stamp set from the upcoming January-June 2023 Mini Catalog that we're able to order NOW, to make cards this Saturday, during World Card Making Day. Everyone can attend Stampin' Up! Virtual World Card Making Day for FREE.  A few days before the event, Stampin' Up! will add a link on the Stampin' Up! website so anyone can access the virtual event. But I couldn't wait to play with this stamp set. So, I put together this quick card using the new Warm Welcome Stamp Set.  I used my Stamparatus to stamp the hello sentiment down the side of a Fresh Freesia layer.  Then I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut a couple of stitched squares -- one in Starry Sky, the other in Basic White.  I selected a cute image from the new Warm Welcome Stamp Set along with a sentiment and stamped both in Starry Sky ink.  I added a Fresh Freesia Open Weave ribbon and a Fresh Freesia Opal Round.  Join us this Saturday for the FREE October 1 World Card Making Day Event.  See more info below.

This card uses a Fresh Freesia Cardstock basecard.  Then a layer of Basic White, and another layer of Fresh Freesia, stamped with the Hello sentiment from Warm Welcome.  I used my Stamparatus to get the sentiments evenly spaced down both sides.

I die cut a Starry Sky Square and a Basic White Square, and added an Open Weave Fresh Freesia Ribbon between them.  I stamped the sentiment and image from the Warm Welcome Stamp Set onto the Basic White Square.  Then I used a Fresh Freesia and Stary Sky Blends to color the two hands and coffee mugs.

I glued all the layers together, and added a Fresh Freesia Opal Round to the top of the Basic White image layer to add a bit of bling.
