A Thank You card using Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked Stamp Set

  • Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked Stamp Set
  • Coming Soon:  Color Refresh
  • Stampin' Up! introduces Online Exclusives offering

Continuing with my series of greeting cards using Artistically Inked Stamp Set and the coordinating Artistic Dies,  you can see the first in the series here and the second card here.  Today's card uses introduces another print -- gold foil stripes -- from the retired Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper.  In addition, I used the same color theme:  Pale Papaya, Gold Foil, Basic White, and floral designs from the Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper. Although these papers are retired, you'll find others in your stash that can be easily substituted, and you may even find you have this beautiful paper in your stash.  Give a try to the Textured Chic 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Paper, Item # 158808 from the Annual Catalog, which includes gold foil highlights, as a beautiful alternative.  Use these ideas as templates for using these stamps, dies and paper, or find similar items in your stash and use these cards as idea starters.    The Artistically Inked Stamp Set and Artistic Dies are currently available in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, pg. 105.  The sentiment is heat embossed in Gold Embossing Powder, and Gold Foil stems and leaves are die cut from Gold Foil Sheets using the Artistic Dies.   You'll find fun ways to use Gold Foil as accents on cards you create for special people in your life.

The basecard for today's card is Papaya Cardstock.  Then I used two different prints from the Expressions in Ink 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper and matted it in Gold Foil Sheet.  Tip:  I like to tape my two different Designer Series Papers together, which makes it easier to add to a matte layer.

Next, I used one of the dies from the Artistic Dies and die cut a leaves and stems from Gold Foil Sheets to layer across the two  Designer Series Paper.  Next, I die cut sentiment labels using the retired Tasteful Labels Dies.  The matte is Pale Papaya, and the sentiment layer is Basic White.  Tasteful Labels Dies was one of my all-time favorites that I'll continue to use  However, you might try the Something Fancy Dies, Item 160424, from the 2023 January - April Mini Catalog as a workable substitute.

To finish my card, I used one of the stamps from Artistically Ink to stamp "thanks" in Versamark Ink.  I covered it with Gold Embossing Powder, and heat set it with my Heat Tool.  I added a Pale Papaya 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon tied in a bow across the line separating the two different Designer Series Paper prints.  I popped the sentiment up on Dimensionals and added a few Champaign Rhinestone Basic Jewels to my card front.

Coming Soon:  Fresh New Colors

Its that time of the year when Stampin' Up! refreshes the color line adding several new colors to keep the product line fresh.  Additionally, the 2021-2023 In Colors -- Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen & Fresh Freesia -- are expected to retire, unless one or more are kept as part of the color refresh.  Demonstrators will hear about the refreshed color collection on 29 March.  that means customers will hear the details shortly thereafter.

As new colors are announced and we say goodbye to others, we often see retiring colors sell out.  Since these products will not be restocked, now is the time to check your stock of cardstock, ink pads and refills, Blends and Markers and place your order for the items you plan to continue using.  I just put more Fresh Freesia on order!

Online Exclusives announced

Stampin' Up! added several new items that will only be available online.  These items will have their own category in the Stampin' Up! online store, along with existing Branded Merchandise and Kits.  This store category will be called "Online Exclusives"

Why?  More and more customers are comfortable shopping online and using the online store as a source of information for new products and current availability.

Additionally, several of these items will have open-ended sales periods, more niche products will be offered, and longer exposure to products such as stamp sets designed by Million Dollar Sales Achiever will be offered.

More Online Exclusives will be released throughout the year, plus all of the items in our current catalogs and Sales items are all consolidated on the Stampin' Up! Online Store.
