Easter cards to baby cards are easy using the Easter Bunny Stamp Set

  • Stampin' Up! Easter Bunny Stamp Set
  • Ten Years of Growth Paper Pumpkin Kit - with TWO stamp sets
  • Coming Soon:  Color Refresh

I'm having so much fun playing with the cute Easter Bunny Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! 2023 January-April Mini Catalog.  This stamp set includes a coordinating Bunny Punch, but I'm not using it with today's card.  I wanted to start creating Easter Cards, but I also needed a card for a soon-to-arrive baby.  I decided to use the same layout and much of the same elements for both cards.  I used a color theme of Balmy Blue, Sweet Sorbet and Basic White, along with Soft Suede and Pale Papaya Blends for coloring my bunnies  I stamped the bunnies and the sentiments in Tuxedo Black Ink.  I colored the bunnies and then fussy cut them.  The hearts are die cuts from the Share A Milkshake Dies, I created an opening on my cards using the stylish Shape Dies, and created a tag for one of my cards using Tailor Made Tags.  I also had fun adding elements to each bunny's hands.  You'll have so much fun coming up with your own ideas for using the Easter Bunny Stamp Set for more than Easter.

Easter Card with Bunny from Stampin' Up! Easter Bunny Stamp Set

The basecard for today's card is Balmy Blue Cardstock.  Then I used a piece of Basic White as a matte for the Designer Series Paper from Country Floral Lane 12" X 12" paper pack.  I used the largest Stylish Shape Die to Die cut an opening for my sentiment and hearts.  I stamped the sentiments in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then positioned the Sweet Sorbet die cut hearts from the Share A Milkshake Dies around the sentiment.

The Bunny images were also stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  i colored them using Soft Suede and Pale Papaya Blends, and then fussy cut them by hand.  I also carefully cut around the arms of the bunnies so I could lift them over the Sweet Sorbet heart for the baby card and over the carrot image from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set for the Easter card.  I colored the carrot with Pumpkin Pie Blends and Granny Apply Green Blends, and fussy cut them out of Basic White Cardstock.

Baby cards or Easter cards can both be made with the Stampin' Up! Eseter Bunny Bundle

To finish my card, I die cut a tag using the Tailor Made Tags Dies, and used a piece of Pool Party 3/8" Grosgrain ribbon and a piece of white Baker's Twine Essential Pack to hold the ribbon in place.  Then I stamped the Happy Easter sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set onto the tag, popped it up on Dimensionals, and added it to my card. For my baby card, I used one of the sentiments from the Punch Party Stamp Set.  This retired stamp set works with several punches and I'm finding it too useful to retire from my stash. Instead of the hearts on the baby card, I could have used the butterfly and floral stamps from the Easter Bunny Stamp Set, but I choose to keep the layouts as similar as possible to show the versatility of the Easter Bunny Stamp Set -- It's not just for Easter

Coming Soon:  Fresh New Colors

Its that time of the year when Stampin' Up! refreshes the color line adding several new colors to keep the product line fresh.  Additionally, the 2021-2023 In Colors -- Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen & Fresh Freesia -- are expected to retire, unless one or more are kept as part of the color refresh.  Demonstrators will hear about the refreshed color collection on 29 March.  that means customers will hear the details shortly thereafter.

As new colors are announced and we say goodbye to others, we often see retiring colors sell out.  Since these products will not be restocked, now is the time to check your stock of cardstock, ink pads and refills, Blends and Markers and place your order for the items you plan to continue using.  I just put more Fresh Freesia on order!
