Mother's Day card idea using Stampin' Up! Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set

  • Stampin' Up! Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies
  • Final day to order April All The Little Things Paper Pumpkin Kit
  • Stock Up before New Annual Catalog Price Increases
I'm pleased that the Stampin' Up! Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set and coordinating Dies will carry over to the new Annual Catalog coming 2 May 2023.  Today I used the Two-Tone Flora Bundle to create a Mother's Day card.  Changing the sentiment to a Happy Birthday or Thinking of You, you could use this card layout for multiple occasions.  I used a color theme of Blushing Bride, and Crumb Cake along with lots of textures created using the Stitched Square Dies from the Stylish Shapes Die set, and one of the Basic 3D Embossing Folders from the set offered on the Online Exclusives.  The Two-Tone Flora Stamp set is a two-step stamp set, and I created the floral stamped images by stamping off my blushing bride ink for the main part of the flower, and then using the coordinating second stamp without stamping off.  I used the Happy Mother's Day sentiment from the retiring Flowering Tulips set, and added Basic Pearls Jewels to the small flowers and used as accents on my card.   The inspiration for this card came from demonstrator Gail Ellis from Blue Rose Paper Treasures, with a my changes to colors, flowers and textures.  I loved her idea for stacking the Stitched Squares from the Stylish Shapes Dies in the center of the card. I can't wait to try this card in Moody Mauve, one of the new In Colors coming in the new Annual Catalog.

The basecard for today's card is Thich Basic White Cardstock.  Then a layer of Blushing Bride Cardstock.  Then a layer of Basic white Cardstock dry embossed with one of the 3 folder in the Basic 3D embossing Folder set from the Online Exclusives in the Stampin' Up! store.   Then, I used the stitched squares from Stylish Shapes Dies, our o basic White Cardstock, and layered them together.  I mounted them on Dimensionals before adding them to my card front.

Floral Greeting Card using Stampin' Up! Two Tone lora Bundle

I selected the largest florals and the small set of four florals from the towo-Tone Floral Stamp Set.  I used Blushing Bride ink and stamped off the ink before stampin' the main image on Basic White Cardstock.  Then i used the accent stamp and stamped it in Blushing Bride ink.  I love the soft colors created using this technique.  I used the dies from the Two-Tone Flora Dies to die cut the flowers.  Then I used Crumb Cake ink on Basic White and stamped small levels and leaf sprigs from the set.  My Crumb Cake is very juicy, and I found I preferred the lighter shade of Crumb Cake when I stamped off before stamping the images.  I used additional dies from the Two-Tone Flora Dies to die cut the leaves and sprigs.  I also used one of my favorite dies from the Framed Florets Dies and die cut a Basic white sprig to use with my large flowers.  I added all these elements to my card front, adding dimensionals to the smaller set of four flowers, and to one of the larger flowers.

To finish my card, I  used one of the dies from the Something Fancy dies and die cut from Blushing Bride Cardstock sentiment labels.  Then I used the Happy Mother's Day sentiment from the Flowering Tulips Stamp Set, and Versamark Ink and stamped it onto the label.  I covered the sentiment with White Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool.  I added dimensionals to it before adding it to my card.  used the Tailor Made Tag Dies to create a sentiment tag.  I used Crumb Cake ink and stamped sentiments from the Framed Florets Stamp Set onto the tag.  I added even more texture to my card by adding Silver Threaded Twine tied with a bow of Linen Thread.  To pull the card together, I added a few Matte Black Dots to the card.  This is a great time to pick up several of these items that are retiring.  Several items are on sale in the Last Chance Sale, which started 4 April.  Grab these items before they are gone.
