Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia florals create charming Greeting Cards

  • Stampin' Up! Favored Flowers and In Color Designer Series Paper
  • Join us for Paper Pumpkin Procrastinator's Meetup Friday, 14 April
  • Exploring New In Colors with May 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit
Here's another card using the Favored Flowers designer Series Paper and one of the Soft Succulent In Color Designer Series Papers.  I had so much fun with all the free stamp sets during January-February Sale-A-Bration, that I didn't get a chance to use all of the fantastic florals from the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper.  This paper coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog.  Today, I used the florals from one of the Favored Flowers sheets as the focal point for my cards.  My color theme is Basic White, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Fresh Freesia.  I fussy cut two of the florals from the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper, and combined it with layers of Soft Succulent Cardstock, and Soft Succulent 2021-2023 In Color Designer Series Paper.  For my sentiments, I used dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies and from the Something Fancy Dies, and sentiments from the Cottage Rose Stamp Set and the Go To Greetings Stamp Sets.  To finish, I added pearls from the Pastel Pearls pack as accents.   I'm going to miss Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, which are two of the retiring In Colors when the current annual catalog retires 1 May 2023.  However, I'm excited waiting for my order of the new Stampin' Up! In Colors which should arrive in a few days.

Floral Thank You Card using Stampin' Up! Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper

The basecard for today's card is Thick Basic White Cardstock.  Then a layer of Soft Succulent 2021-2023 In Color 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper.  The the image layer of three different papers includes Soft Succulent Cardstock, Basic White Cardstock and one of the Fresh Freesia Prints from the Favored Flowers 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper Pack.

Then I fussy cut two of the Fresh Freesia florals from one of the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper Pack.  Some of these florals have two leaves, other have only one.  I added a Soft Succulent open leaf die cut from the Fragrant Flowers Dies, which coordinates with this paper.

To finish my card, I   tried several different sentiments and found that many different stamp sets offered sentiments that would work with this card.  I've shown several stamp sets that work for sentiments in the photo below.  For the two cards above, I cut sentiment shapes using a die from the Something fancy Dies and another from the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I cut them from Evening Evergreen Cardstock, which is one of the retiring In Colors that will disappear after 1 May 2023.  I stamped the sentiments in VersaMark Ink and covered the sentiment with White Embossing Powder.  I set the powder using my Heat Tool.   I finished by adding a few Highland Heather pearls from the Pastel Pearls accessories pack.   Pastel Pearls are retiring and you'll find them on the Stampin' Up! Last Chane Sale for $3.25, normally $6.50 USD | Item # 154571.  Grab these and other bargains before they are gone on the Last Chance Sale.

New Catalog Pricing Changes

While Stampin' Up strives to provide us with the best paper crafting products and experiences, without sacrificing the quality of Stampin' Up! is know for, all while being mindful of cost and other important consideration, we are all aware of the increases in costs we're seeing in today's market place. This is a heads up that price increase will impact several product categories in the upcoming new catalog.

You'll want to consider stocking up on items such as Cardstock, Specialty Paper, Notecards and Envelopes, Ink Pads and Refills, Stampin' Blends, Stampin' Write Markers, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machines and plates, Take Your Pick products, Storage, Clear Blocks, Select adhesives, and Paper Pumpkin.  Consider purchasing a Paper Pumpkin subscription (a prepaid code) before the 2 May 2023 price change to receive current pricing on your subscription.  You don't have to use your Paper Pumpkin Subscription code before 2 May.  Order Paper Pumpkin subscriptions here:  https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=100492

When we say goodbye to retiring colors, with the announcement of New Colors, it means we often see several retiring colors sell out.  Since these products will not be restocked, now is the time to check your stock of cardstock, ink pads and refills, Blends and Markers and Designer Series Paper.  Place your order during the Last Chance sale--before the new Annual Catalog release on 2 May--so you can save you up to 60% on some items and you'll have the colors and favorites you need to complete current projects.
