I'm tickled pink (maybe I should say "tickled Blue") that Blueberry Bushel is one of the returning colors in the Stampin' Up! Color Refresh along with the upcoming 2 May Annual Catalog launch. I kept my Blueberry Bushel Cardstock and Ink Pad when it originally retired, so I'm able to begin creating with it, even though my Demonstrator preorder doesn't arrive for a few days yet. Today I used the Two-tone Flora Stamp Set to create florals and leaves, and selected sentiments from the Framed Florets and go To Greetings Stamp Set to use on my cards. The large florals are a two-step stamp, and I stamped off with my Blueberry Bushel ink on the base of the flowers, and then stamped full-strength blueberry Bushel ink for the highlights on the flowers. I die cut the florals and leaves using the Two-tone Flora Dies, Then I created the circle image using one of the dies from the Irresistible Bloom Dies. The sentiments are Heat Embossed While Embossing Powder, and I added a couple of White Classic Matte Dots to continue the dot them from the die cut.
The basecard for today's card is Thick Basic White Cardstock. Then a layer of Blueberry Bushel Cardstock, on of the returning colors for the 2023 Color Refresh with the launch of the May Annual Catalog. Then another layer of Basic White cardstock, die cut using the large circle with dots die from Irresistible Bloom Dies.
Then I stamped images floral images and leaves and stems from the Two-tone Floral Stamp Set. For the large florals and the tiny flowers, I began by stampin' off my Blueberry Bushel ink which then stamped a lighter Blueberry Bushel shade for the main part of the florals. Then I used the coordinating stamp that added highlights to the florals, and stamped over the first floral image with the "highlights" image stamp, using full strength blueberry Bushel in. I then switched to Crumb Cake ink to stamp the leaves and stems images from the Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set. I stamped off on these images as well, but when I stamp more of these cards, I think I will use Crumb Cake ink full-strength to show up better agains the blueberry bushel. Then I used the Irresistible bloom Dies to Die cut the large and small flowers and the leaves and stems.
To finish my card, I used two different sentiments; one from Framed Florets, and the other from Go To Greetings. I stamped the sentiments in VersaMark Ink and covered the sentiments with White Embossing Powder. I set the powder using my Heat Tool. To accurately position the sentiments, I laid the loose Basic White layer over the Blueberry Bushel layer and stamped the sentiment with VersaMark. Then I removed the Basic White layer and then covered the stamped sentiment with Embossing Powder. I finished by adding a couple of White Classic Matte Dots, which are carrying over to the new Annual Catalog. This time of year is a great time to pick up discounted gems and jewels on both the Clearance Rack and the Last Chance Sale going on until 1 May 2023.
