I often need masculine greeting cards, and find myself scrambling last minute to create something meaningful.  Here is a design I created using the Stampin' Up! Whiskey Business Stamp Set from the 2022-2023 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  It is an easy card that could be used for a new father, or Father's day.  With other sentiments in this stamp set, it could be used as a Congratulation card or a Birthday card. I love the versatility of this set.   I used a Night of Navy card base and one of the papers from the Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper pack, a Host gift from the current Annual Catalog with 48 sheets.  Our Designer Series Paper usually includes 12 sheets, so this Host selection with a $150 order is truly special! Check it out on the bottom of page 135 of the current Annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  I used the stitched circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut a woodgrain element behind the Whiskey bottle, and for the label for the sentiment.  I used Pool Party and Mango Melody Blends to color the Whiskey decanter and glass.   I added a little more bling with a few Pretty Peacock Loose Frosted Dots from one of the Online Exclusive items.  Now I have a few masculine cards on hand that I'll be proud to send someone special.

The basecard for today's card is Night of Navy Cardstock.  It is one of the colors in the striped paper from the Design A Daydream print I selected.  This is a Host reward paper pack that can be selected with a $150 order.

Next, I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut a circle out of the In Good Taste Retired Designer 12" X 12" Series Paper, which I stock piled for masculine cards.  I used the same dies to cut a smaller stitched circle to use for my sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  In hindsight, I should have stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy.

To finish my card, I  stamped on Basic White Cardstock, the Whiskey decanter image and the glass with ice cubes.  I used Pool Party and Mango Melody Blends to color the decanter and glass, and then I fussy cut them before mounting them on Dimensionals and adding them to my card.  For a little bling, I added a few Pretty Peacock Loose Frosted Dots, one of the Online Exclusives items.

Each year Stampin' Up! Adds 5 new In Colors to the color line up that remain in the product line for 2 years. These colors help the Stampin' Up! product line stay on trend. Below are the new 2023-2025 In Colors

These new colors will be available in Cardstock, Stampin' Write Markers, Blends, Stamp Pads and Ink Refills, Designer Series Papers, Ribbons and additional accessories.

New additions to the Stamin' Up! Core colors

New colors added to the Core colors:  There are the new colors we are welcoming to the Stampin' Up! Core Colors.

Fresh New Colors

Take a look at at the video below to see how all these new colors fit together in the new color lineup.  Your new 2023-2023 Annual Catalog will include a complete color chart on pages 122-123.  New catalogs for my customers who have purchased within the past 6 months should begin arriving mid to late April and ordering from the new  2023-2024 Annual Catalog begins 2 May 2023.

Please note:  Stampin' Up! in ink pads and inks refills contain chemicals that change over time.  For this reason it's best not to use your old pads with new ink refills--or new pads with old refills.  The ink and pads aren't defective, but as time passes, chemical changes may take place which could produce a less than satisfactory result.  In addition, older ink formulas mingled with new ink formulas could result in a sub-standard stamping experience.

What's the takeaway?  Please pair fresh ink pads with fresh ink refills.  Ideally, try to purchase both at the same time, as occasionally even current ink formulas need to be refreshed do to such factors as supplier changes or raw material availability.  We want you to really enjoy these terrific, vibrant colors to the fullest!

Retiring Colors

As part of the new Annual Catalog color refresh, these are the Core Colors that will retire from the Stampin' Up1 product line.   These are 11 Core colors that will no longer be available after 1 May 2023.
